my poor grandmother was duped by this sister into buying all sorts of wacky products that cost an arm and a leg. the worst and most expensive (hundreds of dollars) was called the "polarity pillow". It was claimed to have amazing properties like purify ur water just by waving it over the outside of your water pipes. it magically transformed aluminum into silicon just by passing it over the beach chair or pot of your choice. of course it had the disclaimer that if you had any of the "treated" items tested they would not show the change but YOU would "know". it also supposedly kept fruit from spoiling and cured the body of.various ailments. it was a metal box filled with dirt in reality. that was just one of the products that awful woman peddled to the elderly ones in the kh. Infuriates me still...20 years later.

Vinyl words printed for back of my car should say??
by RayPublisher inso let's say i've thought about having some vinyl lettering printed up and stuck on the back windshield of the car to publicize ttatt...what should it say?.
"do you know ttatt?".
"jehovah's witnesses are a cult that breaks up families".

I like a combination of the second and the fourth...gives them a taste of the pain plus the invitation to ask about it if they want. With the website under. The first is too ambiguous I think.

Quick Poll - How many are...
by mrhhome inhow many here are (a) ex-jw, (b) non-jw with jw relatives or spouses, (c) inactive jw, or (d) active jw who stay in for your own reasons?.

Inactive according to org for 2 yrs...no memorials, nada. I consider myself and tell people I am an ex cult member and warn them of their deceptive ways. There is a woman in the territory where I would work who would get so upset when witnesses came by. I want to go apologize now that I know TTATT.

Do You Think Many Engaged JW Couples Fooled Around B4 Marriage?

Before I left over 2 yrs ago I had just ended a 3 yr "secret" relationship with an MS. I was a pioneer. He spent the night 4-5 nights per week and would leave for assemblies earlier than me from my house to care for his assignments. We were like bunny rabbits. I would feel guilty, sometimes horribly but he never did. Would never marry me. He cheated on me and it all came out but it ended up being a slap on the wrist because he was the golden child. It's laughable now how a couple could do what we did and only do it once and be disfellowshipped and we went at it hundreds of times and got nothing. Was just one of the many signs...

What am I going to wear to the AGM?
by sherrie11 into the women out there that have been honoured with an invitation this is the question they ask themself.. .
i am going to admit one of the reasons i enjoyed the meetings was getting to dress up.
how many women out there found the meetings an excuse to dress up.

I pushed the limits in dress but pulled it off because i didnt show cleavage or wear anything too short but i would often wear a dress like the 4th one down in JakeM's post. with my 5 inch platform maryjanes...i felt good ;)
Guaranteed this Annual meeting caused some shopping trips amongst the ladies!

HOA suing us any help?
by Crazyguy injust thought i would ask in case any of you have had any experience with a home owners association.
i'm being sued for not paying dues and other fines and went to a mediation hearing a while ago.
we explianed that we we never informed of the hoa when we bought the home and never signed any agreement, infact i was very explicit with everyone involved in the buying proccess to make sure there was no hoa since i did not want to buy if there was one.

Def check with a lawyer. Apparently there is legislation in the works to take away the power of the HOA. They sued me for $1000 for non existent weeds and did not tell me and my lawyer said they are very hard to sue and are not afraid of the individual homeowner. Since it was not disclosed at closing you may have a shot. Depends on where you live and the state laws.

I don't understand the purpose of going to her at the KH at this point or any other to say anything. Sometimes dignity calls for silence. Makes no sense to fuel a fire and propagate the notion that everyone out is "mentally diseased".
