Lots of things in life are "Interesting Possibilities"
But most of them never become "Realities"

I'm not sure that the WTS would have cut the umbillical cord.
If just ONE bolshie body of elders said "no we're not going to cover the deficit, but we will monitor our order more closely in the future" the WTS would have shortfall but I'm not convinced that they would have had any alternative but to keep supplying literature.
Multiply that by 1000 congs and WTS goes bust.
I know, I know. I'm dreaming

It would have been interesting to have called London's bluff and seen if they actually stopped the literature deliveries.

i'm curious ~ has anyone noticed how young elders are these days?
in my old congregation, 6 of our 8 elders were under the age of 30, one of them 23, unmarried.
the father being the p.o...ironically.
When I left the Circuit overseer assigned to our cong was . . . . 32!
What a donkey
a guy walks into a glasgow library and says to the prim librarian:.
"excuse me miss, de ye hiv any books on suicide?".
to which she stops doing her tasks,.
Been waiting for you for nearly 2 hours!
