This is one of the few things I've seen circulated here that turned out not to be true.
Although it may be that they changed their minds after seeing the info widely circulated here (unlikely I'd say) I'd much prefer that we don't go into "WT positive spin" mode and just accept and admit that the info was wrong.
There's no dishonour in ADMITTING someone got something wrong.

Pioneer Hour Requirements Not Changing
by Joker10 ini was told this morning by my parents that the circuit overseer told everyone in the congregation that certain rumor, the change in hour requirements for pioneers is not being lowered.
he mentioned he got this information from the governing body.
he advised everyone to stop believing in rumors!

I think I know what I will leave my family in my Will
by Elsewhere inhaving been shunned, i have been stumped as to what, if anything, i would leave my biological family should i die before they do.. today i was struck by an idea: i'll leave them that bag of $50,000.00 (usd) in shredded cash i have in my closet.
(it's been sitting there for about 6 years).
there is something poetic about the whole idea.

Santa & Kids - To Lie or Not To Lie?
by sweet pea inthis will be our second christmas since leaving the wts but we will be away in nz with besty's extended family so probably won't bother much with trees and decorations but the santa issue is playing on my mind, especially now podlet no.
1 is at preschool.. do we bring the children up to believe in santa & co with all the magic, mystery and excitement associated with the fairytale or do we tell him right away what the deal is - either route is going to feel very strange.
my gut feeling is to go along with the myth and give them those happy memories of wonder and anticipation - what do you all think?.

It's not lying - it's magical!
When they find out it's not true they'll be old enough to understand a fairytale and you can be sure they'll share the magic with their kids.
They should definitely be told that the tooth fairy is a wicked lie though because it costs you a fortune LOL -

by cognac ini've been watching over this elder/pioneer couples kid who is a neighbor of ours.
i've been doing this a lot over the past week or two.
i just feel it helps get this poor girl away from service all the time and i like kids anyways.

Only 2!
You are a saint looking after her (want a couple more - 8 and 11 . . .)
Let them take her! Rescue her and start the studies in about 5 years LOL
Seriously do you think that the privileges are linked to your babysitting?
Sorry I can't remember your position re JWs

Alternatively start giving the girl "Apostate Studies" and see how fast they whisk her off
"Daddy is true what Cognac says about Jerusalem being destroyed in 586 . . ." -

Test the water.
Randomly stop watching the girl, especially at short notice, to cause disruption (from what you say it'll just mean they have to take her on the service - which they should anyway)and see whether their attitude to your hubby changes.
I take it the "privileges" are a big deal to him - he must be talking about it and telling you otherwise you wouldn't know he'd said the prayer!
