Jehovahs Witnesses have no clergy, dont charge for weddings, have no collection plates, are no part of the world, live in a spiritual paradise, what other fallacy is their.
by smiddy inthese are just some of the things i was told studying with the witnesses in 1959 .in 1960 we got married in one of the few kh`s that existed in melb.at the time .and we were required to pay/contribute to the bro.who conducted the service.. i was led to beleive in my studys that smoking was a no,no ,so i gave up ,learning later that wasnt the case ,the ministerial servant book study conductor in our group still did smoke.
( the ban on smoking didnt come in till later on ).
while they may not have passed the collection plate around , they did on a regular time frame appeal for donations from the platform for funds to offset the renting of a hall , my first congregation , or the upkeep /maintenance of a kh or for the"world wide work of witnessing" .

What's The STRANGEST Thing You've Seen At A Kingdom Hall?
by minimus ini saw a fight break out on the platform between an elder and a unbelieving husband who accused the elder of f---ing his wife.
he then threw the lectern on the floor and pushed the elder.
it was cool.......

The funniest thing I can remember was interviewing my best mate (who I have just got back after he finally saw the light 13 years after I told him ) on the service meeting and asking him why he had decided to regular pioneer. He said he had decided to because he wanted to serve Jehovah while he was full of youthful virility, quickly correcting this to youthful vitality! But it was too late - I was crying laughing so much that I couldn't breathe.

They'd still claim they printed the same amount of 'separate' magazines even if they merged them into one.
It's only like them claiming for years that they had 5 meetings a week when it was actually only 3.
They still go to 5 meetings a week when it's now only 2.

Yep me.
Saw the flaw in the reasoning behind the '95 generation change. Was another 4 years before I got directed to Crisis of Conscience and then everything here and at Freeminds. It was the Generation change that opened my eyes though and the rest was confirmation.

www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-18626157
900 out of 2.5m
I make that 0.036%
So statistically true but I reckon driving your car is much more dangerous than celebrating your birthday

Jehovah's Witnesses and spiritual healers top complaints to Charity Commission
by iamwhoiam injehovah's witnesses and spiritual healers top complaints to charity commissionby ian griggs, third sector online, 7 january 2013. charity commission.
the rspca and national trust are also in top 10 most-complained about charities, the regulator has revealedthe central body for jehovahs witnesses in britain and a spiritual healers organisation were the charities about which the charity commission received the most complaints in the two years to march 2012.. the regulator said it had received 13 complaints about both the watch tower bible and tract society of britain and the nfsh charitable trust during the period.. the figures were revealed in response to a request under the freedom of information act, made by the conservative mp simon hart in july, for a list of the ten charities about which the commission received most complaints.. the rspca and jnf charitable trust, which is concerned with israel, were the next most complained about, with 12 complaints to the commission over two years.. hart, a former chief executive of the pro-hunting charity the countryside alliance, was one of a group of cross-party group of politicians that has called on the commission to investigate the rspca after it spent more than 320,000 on a successful private prosecution of the heythrop hunt.. the commission's list does not include complaints made to charities themselves or to other regulators such as the advertising standards authority and the fundraising standards board.. the commission said none of the complaints against charities in the top 10 resulted in any formal action against those organisations.
it also said the number of complaints would not necessarily mean that a charity had acted wrongly or contrary to its charitable purpose.. begin ad tag c501 end ad tag c501 "an internal dispute within a membership body could result in several letters of complaint or dissatisfaction, but may not be be a fair indication of the level of service that is being received by beneficiaries," said liam carroll, the commissions complaints manager.. .

Fair to say that Brits don't complain that much
