I was invited to address The Presbyterians at their church
by Giordano inso i was asked to give a presentation at the oxford forum which is sponsored by a local presbyterian church.
it's a very old church founded in 1758. it's way out in a rural area and if your interested here is their web site.. for a quick look at a beautiful setting: http://www.oxfordchurchlex.org/ yes this image is eye candy but up close the architectural detailing is pretty impressive............ there is no way you are going to confuse this church with a jehovah's witness soon to be closed kingdom hall.. the pastor told me that they would have 15 to 20 people attending my presentation about the jw life and beliefs.
it would start at 10am and end at 10:50. he would open the meeting with a brief prayer and welcome.

Newspaper is interested in interviewing me!!!
by dubstepped ina friend and client and former politician just called me.
he knows people in the media and had offered a few months back to see if anyone would be interested in doing a story on what i'm doing through my podcasts this jw life" and "shunned".
of course i was excited but things take time and you never know if they'll pan out.

My last Memorial
by Sour Grapes ini missed my first memorial last year in 60 years.
it always amazed me on this special night that the jw's forget how to park their cars in the parking lot.
i would pull in with my wife and there are 5 brothers giving directions on where and how to park my car.

by Atlantis ingetting names and addresses from obituary columns was only one of themethods suggested by watchtower literature.methods used:get the names and addresses of people in the hospital.get names and addresses from obituary columns.get the names and addresses of new mothers.get the names and addresses of couples who have just gotten engaged.get the names and mailbox numbers from locations where jehovah'switnesses are not allowed to preach.
give that information to theelderly brothers and sisters to write their letters to.get the names and addresses from the phone book.. .

This thread reminds me of the funny scenes in "Paper Moon" with tatum oneal, where they go around the country reading obituaries and selling them bibles that their recently departed ordered for them. This movie depicts the vulnerable people are right after a death and how people (or WT) take advantage of them.

Pondering the real numbers
by Deltawave ini was sat in the assembly hall yesterday, wondering how many pimo ones like me there was there.
or even if they don't know ttatt still don't believe it for whatever reason.. i think there must be more of (us) there than we all realise.
i mean, brothers reaching out is at an all time low, information via the internet is at an all time high and the preaching work has now become a motionless, speechless babysitting of a book shelf advertising a website as someone here pointed out!.

Sometimes I change my wifi name to TTATT, and a few times I spell it out. You can see a lot of goofy wifi names too at assemblies. Thank goodness for iPads to keep our minds wandering.
