What religion did the Ethiopian eunuch get baptised into, Laika? Didn't Paul warn about being baptized into anyone but Christ? Otherwise, Christ exists divided. (1 Cor 1:11-17)

Babylon the Great is the BIGGEST Harlot!
by The Searcher intwo key scriptures in revelation give a description of btg, and by doing so, identify to whom the name "babylon the great" applies.
revelation 17:5,6 says, "babylon the great, the mother of the harlots and of the disgusting things of the earth.
" and i saw that the woman was drunk with the blood of the holy ones and with the blood of the witnesses of jesus".

They are i- Pad Nutty Now
by Poztate inso many at my wife's hall have rushed to buy i-pads,androids etc for use in servicetm and at the hall.. most know little or nothing about how to use them but have joined the stampede to jw.org tm and the reinvention of the wtbts.. it prompted one elder at my wife's hall to have a seminar at his house to explain how to use them in service and at the hall.. how exciting.... one 80 year old pioneer woman will be there with her new toy.. as a distraction it seems to be working quite well.
no need to worry about 1914 or other issues.. they are all nuts and getting nuttier....

As much as I hate to say this, the videos are capturing interest, especially with return visits. But, I will emphasize that just because someone allows a JW to play the video, the proof of how well it works or not would be whether those same people ultimately start attending the meetings and convert. Otherwise, it's just a bunch of fluff.

Yeah, I'll call BS about the stadium never being rented out. If that were true, then why have it on their site? Duh!

Also, Husky stadium has already been renovated. It completed last summer.

As for cruise ships coming in, that may or may not be true. Cruise ships do drop off tons of people in Seattle. Whether they stay on the boat or not is not something I can confirm.
In-city hotels in Seattle are like any other large city... expensive. Sheraton, for example starts at $285 per night (I just checked the normal rate for that weekend). But many of the hotels on the list are outside of Seattle and are significantly less expensive, especially when you get down into the more "economy" brands. The city of Seattle and the upscale Bellevue area will command more money. And $140 per night is actually about right unless you get to those more "economy" brands. Although on that weekend, one of the economy brands was pretty expensive when I looked just now, but other brands were significantly less ($125 and $80 for two I just looked at online). And if someone were to stay near the airport, those rates would be in that range normally.

I don't disagree, Searcher. A couple of weeks back, I was bemoaning the fact that WTBTS makes the Bible confusing by their doctrines. I wondered what in the Bible was called confused or confusion. I had forgotten the name Babel from which, which Babylon comes from. So, I thought to myself, how fitting that the mother of the harlots is called, almost literally, "Confusion the Great". I could be way off in left field with this one, but I had to chuckle at the notion, at least.

Many of the R&F are not only buying these devices, but they're spending money on data plans so they can access the website out in service. Some are even pressuring those who cannot afford these plans to get them.

I heard about the security a couple of weeks ago. I'm so looking forward to standing in long lines waiting to get through security. There has been NO INFORMATION GIVEN to the congregations about this. It was just a quick mention by an elder in a comment. This ought to be fun.

Helpful Scriptural References - importance of Trust in God not Man
by objectivetruth inpsalms 118:8 - it is better to take refuge in jehovah than to trust in humans.. the scriptures are clear that jesus is the truth - the way - the life : john 4:6 - jesus said to him: i am the way and the truth and the life.
no one comes to the father except through me.
1 timothy 2:4 - whose will is that all sorts of people should be saved and come to an accurate knowledge of truth.

The preaching work is the single most important sign and thing that sets us apart and is there to show you the organization is from Jehovah. That is the whole key to everything as far as being able to determine the true religion.
The tactful response:
Yes, that's what I thought, too. So, I looked in the Bible for where this is stated. The closest thing I could find is Jesus' words at Luke 6:46: "Why, then, do you call me ‘Lord! Lord!’ but do not do the things I say?" Preaching is definitely one of the things Jesus said to do, but it's not the only thing. Actually, he reiterated the two greatest commandments to love God with your whole heart, mind and soul, and to love your neighbor as yourself. He also gave a new commandment, to love one another, and even said that THIS is what identifies ones as his disciples. In all my searching, though, I never found any place that says that preaching is what identifies people as true Christians. So, there's another question that I cannot find a satisfying answer to.

After the Memorial I talked with an elder and asked him if we have an partakers? He said that
we had 3 but we did not count them because they are not qualified
Not qualified? NOT QUALIFIED!!!!!?????!!!!
2 Cor 3:5 - "Not that we of ourselves are adequately qualified to consider that anything comes from us, but our being adequately qualified comes from God,"
Who do they think they are to say who is qualified and who is not???
