CO talk at SAD appl. of 2 Thess. 1:8 & other mind control tactics
by Kensho innow that i am really "awake" at the assemblies i pay more attention to what the borg's traveling enforcers say and the talk he gave was some "new light" on 2 thess.
1:8 (probably his opinion).
paraphrased " there is a thinking that has crept in somehow in the minds of some brothers over the years that because jehovah is a merciful &loving god he will not destroy those who have not been reached with the good news in different parts of the world or my family or bible studies need just a little more time, well they need to read this script.. .

I remember when I thought 30 was old. "Those were the days my friend, we thought they'd never end." When people make fun of my age, I just say
"You should be so lucky to get to be my age." I know I feel fortunate to still be alive and well. One's view of age and being old is relative. I'm sure people
would view being 60's as young. Most of us "of a cetain age" are not offended because we remember being young. Enjoy it. It goes by fast!

God in your brain....
by EntirelyPossible injust came across an interesting study.
during brain scans, when people were asked how they felt about something, the same part of the brain was active as when they were asked how god felt about something.
when asked how other people felt about something, however, a different part of the brain was at work.. specifically, the portion of the brain that was active when asking people how god felt about things was the portion of the brain associated with self-referential thinking.... people are literally making god up in their own image as they go.

The Gentile Times Reconsidered (607 B.C.E.) -Part A1 - Jeremiah 25:10-12 Reviewed
by FaceTheFacts induring the last three to four months, i have spent a great deal of time sinking my teeth into various critical biblical commentaries and lexicons.
naturally, after beginning to research "the truth about the truth" one of the most commonplace yet controversial arguments revolve around the "gentile times" doctrine (i.e.
the application of the seven times of daniel 4 from 607 b.c.e.

AAAAHH!! DO you really want this "everlasting life in Paradise"?
by hamsterbait inthey argue that we never tire of our food , never tire of sex (except the single resurrected who will be celibate) etc etc, there is so much to see and do.
so we all want to live forever and never die:.

I must just be a worldy person because I love watching tv,movies, drinking wine, dancing and just having fun. I like working and making money so I can spend it on clothes, shoes, or whatever I happen to want to buy. I don't think I am Paradise material. I don't want to follow orders all the time. I like to do my own thing.I like to rule myself.

I always thought I wanted to live forever in Paradise, and I really don't want to die, but I don't think I ever really thought it through. Since really considering how life would be like living under the leadship of the WTS in Paradise,it would feel more like Hell , I don't think I want to live that way now or forever. But because I don't belive it's going to happen that way for anyone,I guess it's a moot point. It would be so boring and unbearable, I could not stand it.

by OneDayillBeFree inhttp://vimeo.com/50792317 .
i believe that everyone of us, witnesses or not, should take a look at this video.

wasblind, my daughter does't trust my judgement either. When I gave her some advice about a certain religion, she replied that I had told her the WTS was the "truth" and it turned out to be wrong so she no longer trusted me about religion.
She was a born-in into the borg. Thank God she never got baptized. Like one of the people in the video said: " No one knows the day or the hour," why do people keep predicting the unknowable!
cantleave, I hate religion also.

Why Isn't the USA the Safest Country in the World With All the Guns
by RubaDub inwe have 9 guns for every 10 people in this country.
since more guns = better protection, i keep asking myself why there is so much gun violence here ???.
i don't see such violence in canada, australia, europe, japan and other so-called "advanced" countries.. what is wrong with us here.

One of the problems, imo, with the mind of Americans is all the violence that young (and old) people are exposed to on tv and video games. When people
are constantly exposed to violence it becomes accepted. As someone said, OJ did not need a gun to kill his wife ( yes I know he was found
innocent).People can use any means to kill other than a gun, they can use a car bomb or anything else they can think to use. I have always believed
it is the violence that we have grown to accept that makes people capable of doing such violence toward others.
