We have to excuse Earnest and Accuracy right now for their innocent defending of something that they have not experienced negative treatment from yet. They haven't had their behinds "kicked" yet. on whtv upn 18 (channel 5) they aired the commercial put out by the congregation of jehovah's witnesses (12:38 am on monday night).
it is only airing in the north east us.. a brother who saw the commercial last friday said it was really nicely done.
it talks about family life and plays the kingdom songs in the background.. a telephone call to the society confirmed it was a trial, and it was a bonafide jw advertisement.. .
Can anyone tell me when Dateline will air the JW story?

i met a bunch of witnesses from my old congregation on a ferry to seattle a month ago.
i tried avoiding them but they spotted me and their was no escape.
they all seemed to be very jovial and asked me if i was going to the meetings.

in response to your question; "why are you a JW"? I was raised as one. My entire family are JWs. It is my world even though there are things in this world that are wrong. I have no control over those things and no voice to make a change. All of the religions that I investigate have problems also. I will not lose my family over other peoples craziness. Every human will stand before the judgement seat of God and answer for himself. I teach and try to live by what I know is the Word of God. When I preach to people and they ask questions about any religion including the WTS I am upfront and honest with them. The WTS said not to start a new student in the middle or the back of the study book, because they will not be able to digest the meatier information. I start them in the back of the study book to let them see what the results will be if they continue thier lessons. I want them to keep their free will and still serve Jehovah with freedom of speech and mind. It works for me.
I've had my behind kicked plenty of times, but I refuse to let any human take away my dignity.

I applaud you for all of the hard work that you put into this article. Prophecy has always baffled me. Many prophecies in the Bible are pretty much left uninterpreted. Many people have taken on the task of trying to interpret them and there are so many interpretations. I've always questioned any one mans interpretations of the Bible, no matter who they were. The WTS have attempted to interpret prophecies and have failed as others have. That is because Genesis 40:8 states that interpretations belong to God.
Jesus said to stay awake to his coming and to teach others to do the same. He gave us a rule to follow in order to be considered as sheep. Matthew 22: 37-39 says, "you must love God and you must love your neighbor". That is the greatest commandment.
We must follow that rule and leave the rest up to Jehovah God.

I am not the type to make people overwork themselves, because I don't do that to myself. But since you want me to narrow my concerns down, here goes;
In Brother Russells will, he specified the ones he wanted to serve in order to keep his work going. The Observer said that Rutherford took over and did not honor Russells choices. The Proclaimers book alluded to that but did not name the ones that resisted Rutherfords take over.
Also, in Brother Russells will I understood him to say that there would not be another "one" person to lead the WTS, but would be
directed by a body of men; Editorial Committee, Board of Directors.
I will leave it at that for now.

I am sorry that the JWs acted so heartless. That is not the spirit that they should have.
Here in our congregation we were devastated over the whole mess. We knew several of the victims. Our hearts went out to them and their families. We help as much as possible and when we can.

The Bible in living english says at PSalms 14:1, "A rascal has said to himself "There is no God." They behave viciously, abominably; there is nobody that does what is good.
