over the years the surplus from donations have been put into risky investments and each of them blessed with growth and profit beyond comprehension.

all aging and elderly jw's who had sacrificed their retirement planning and financial future for the kingdom work, who had not been expecting to live to this age, shall have full care including room and board for the rest of their lives or until 'the end'.

- if god was directing that organization, then that's something that i'd expect to see.

Smiddy that a bit too far. JWs are people and many JWs plan for retirement.

They are not parasites on society. Show some respect for human life! JWs have just as much rights to use the social system as any one else. I knew many working for the City and electrical companies with good retirement plans. They did not give their entire money away to WT society and they are set for senior days. That includes many elders.

EndofMystery,I see your point. The bottom line I do not know if God is helping individual people or not. Maybe the social systems that are set up are God using people to help others including aged JWs. But as an organisation directed from God, you would think they would be blessed group of people. :-)

I see your point and think it is because of human greed that WT neglect to provide extra income for their elderly members who supported their cause! To be fair, how many churches provide care for their elderly members? Unlike WT society, churches at least try to help everyone.

That might be worth comparing! I wonder if churches provide extra income for their elderly! I really doubt any elderly JWs ,unless they are GB, receive income. Does senior elders get extra money from the WT society? Maybe they do!

as we all know, the org now wants everyone to count the number of flimsy, one page tracts on every monthly report from now on.... so, what is the general buzz around the traps about how many the average witness is reported to have placed?.

(yes, it is a seriously stupid thing designed to keep the flock busy and also designed to measure their 'spirituality').

i need to fudge my report, and i havent got the foggiest clue what sort of numbers each witness has on average 'placed'......

You've got something there! I find the JWs trying to convince people that for a temporary time period Jehovah allows Jesus to reign making Jah reign past tense. We were brought up with that doctrine.

I think you noticed something!

So from a JW perspective it would be past tense"reigned"! But not in mainstream bibles!

It would not make any sense that Jehovah's reigned was on a temporarily hold!

Therefore, the WT are preaching once again false doctrine of not only 1914 date of Jesus reign,but also that Jehovah stops his reign during this time frame! My head hurts to think about it!

OR, they just manipulated the entire verse!

Yes they've manipulated their Interliner! Just find an older version and compare it to the newer one.

My friend had a newer Diaglott and I had an older one. So,when we got together and talked about the Diaglott we did not know what the other was referring. It was show me that one.

Sure enough we compared them and they were different. Anyhow,I started with God and highlighted each one then cross it to English! Lol what was I thinking! But there were some mistakes!

I'm afraid I'd be single for life

this is quite embarrassing for me to share, but as a 30+ year old single female i have lingering doubts as to whether i can still meet a decent man and get married.. you all know how difficult it is for sisters to find an appropriate partner in the congregation.. and now, all the more so that i've learned ttatt.

i still am bound by low self-esteem, and i do have trust issues, especially with men.

i am very lonely and so i just keep myself busy with work to avoid depression (although it is also a great source of stress).. any other single females out there having similar thoughts?.

Jesus is King of King who reigns, but he has a King sitting next to him who reigns. There are two that reign but one knows the day or hour and tells the other and war breaks out. My view point.

Anyhow,I think that scripture is sound. Jesus was given all power and authority and is King of King and he reigns.

Ripple Effect

on tuesday i was dragged out on service with my mom since shes a permanent pioneer, and once we arrived at the hall i realized there were no brothers, but an abundance of sisters.

i conducted the service meeting with ease, since my dad gave me a formation on how to do it.. then on thursday at my meeting nearly half of the congregation surrounded me and gave me hugs and kisses.

i know about love bombing, its happened to me before, but this was the most insane amount of it ever since i had a demonstration at the district convention.

Not too sure how old you are,maybe 17 or 18.

Get as much college while your at home.

Now,that is a very long time.

No reason to hurry to get out if the house because your dad is for you!

Your doing a fantastic job!

Also, get to the point where you do not care about JWs will think about you ok n the future: gossiping or what ever. The future will be your college.

About getting loved bomb, take advantage of everyone patting you on the back! And saying great job!

Give me a reason not to go back

been out now for 10 yrs but life is a mess.

starting to think its because i have no spiritual compass.

why shouldn't i consider going back?.

Paris hit it on the money! School,school,school,and more school.

Without a higher education, I doubt in five to ten years you will be able to keep up in the job market.

And Wt wants to keep people lacking in education.

Yes,some are going to college but not the majority!

Try to find a religion with pro education and people who will give you a positive feed back if you need spiritual up lifting.
