Happy Guy: where have you been looking? See garybuss' post above as for the Yearbook references. I could look it up in the Proclaimer's book or on the CD-ROM but I don't have internet access at home and so it'll have to wait until Monday when I'm back here at the office (if I remember to bring in the info). How long were you a JW? I thought it was pretty common knowledge about the ban.
I remember a CO in the early 80s trying to put the fear of the big A into the audience by telling not to become complacent and live a comfortable lifestyle, since it was Canada that had acted so quickly during the war years (Second World War) in banning "Jehovah's people", even ahead of the U.S., and that everyone in attendance should do their utmost to attend all meetings, do personal study, yada yada yada, in order not to falter when our faith was to be tested "at any time now" since the great tribulation was "right around the corner".
