Update on Aortic Stenosis.
by Blueblades ini met with my cardiologist today.he says that i have a mild aortic stenosis 1.7 valve with some calcification.point .2 is normal,.1 is severe enough to warrant a valve replacement.i'm getting a stress test in sept.meanwhile he wants me to take one aspirin,and 400 mg.of vitamin e,every day to keep the blood thin.
after the stress test he says to check my heart once a year with an echocardiograph test.. so,that's where we are for now.i'm feeling much better after this visit.thanks to all of you who demonstrated your love and concern and help.. i hope that this information can be of help to anyone else that may be having the same medical problem.. this forum has always been there for those who need help,love you all!.

Avishai: You are absolutely right about that! I once rejected the advances of an elder and when I moved and had to change congregations he had a hissy fit and wanted to write a nasty letter about me to the new body of elders, citing "spiritual problems". Another elder (the secretary) refused to sign any such letter (I know because he told me - great confidentiality in that hall ). I knew another elder who would verbally browbeat sisters and when I complained to the other elders about him they sort of scratched their heads and said "why does he always pick on the sisters?" I've seen several sisters in tears after being lectured about stupidities but the big brawny brothers could get away with anything - lying, cheating, getting drunk, etc. I've seen it happen too many times.
Anyway, this is supposed to be about Frank: I enjoy your posts and your way with words. Congratulations on your "coming out" - have a martini on me.
Oh yes, and BTW, I'm taking journalism classes at night (I'll probably be 120 years old when I get my degree) and may unrepentantly and with no remorse bother and nag you if I get stuck with an assignment .

I'm sorry to hear how your daugher has been treated by her birth mother, but am so glad she has you in her life. Shunning someone who isn't even baptized? How on earth does that woman think such actions would endear her to her daughter? How could such a thing entice someone to embrace dubdom?
They don't get it - emotionally in the deep-freeze, living sterile, cold lives - glad I'm out and that you are too.

Its a Canadian Conspiracy I say ...
by Amazing inyes, the niagra mohawk power and another power plant near ottawa started it all ... yep, canada is trying to break free from its dependancy on the united stated so they can seek admission as a colony of france ... at least quebec ... but, it backfired terribly ... .
seriously, the brain-dead idiots are trying to tell us how computer viruses have been ruled out ... this is a straw-man claim in reverse ... no power plant is run by computers, especially nuclear plants ... computers are only used for information, analysis, and data recording.
the system just has kinks in it ... not reviewed as often as it needs ... and so the northeast grid just had a domino effect much as the outages in 1977 and 1965. it will take a couple of days to know the real cause and have power restored .... the goofy experts are already saying that there is no way this is an act of terrorism ... and they may be right ... but, they are speaking way too soon, as there is no way they can really know until the event has had a root cause analysis, which will take time ... also ... i heard them spewing some information that i know is bs ... so, i also sense something funky here ... having been in the power engineering business for 25 years, i will not be surprised if this turns out to be an attack ... perhaps a test attack to learn how to do this really big across the usa and canada ... i hope i am wrong.

The Niagara Mohawk plant is in... Niagara Falls................New York - as in NEW YORK - UNITED STATES OF AMERICA. Rather far from Ottawa.
Kinda too bad we can't take credit for it .
Unless, of course, that's the conspiracy - let our neighbors to the south think that the power plan is in the U.S. while it's actually in Canada ............ hmmmm............

The "loving" elders
by acsot ini havent been responding to many posts lately, ive sort of had my hands full.. i haven't been to the meetings in about 4-1/2 months - my mother has had two strokes and been in the hospital and doing rehab.
(before that i was occasionally going in order to bring her to the hall, my mother is in her 80s and the dubs are her only social outlet.
no one has a clue that ive had my eyes opened about the borg.

For instance, if you told them your mother was seen smoking a cigarrette they wouldnt waste another minute in getting on her case, they would be standing in line to "help" her.
Are you ever right about that!! At least my mother is getting to see what those horrible "wordly" people are really like: she has home care workers in for several hours a week and they've been great. Also, she has started going to a Senior's Day Center where they do physiotherapy, music therapy, crafts, etc. After arriving back home on her first day at the Center the first words out of her mouth were: "It was wonderful, I can't wait to go back!" (hehehe)
Maverick: I think I'll try asking them for the publisher's card - can't hurt!
They are not the professionals they've been told they are.
Sad, isn't it. If they put the same amount of time and effort into a career or real philanthropic endeavorrs they could accomplish so much - now they're just trying to be big fish in a small, dirty pond. -
