well, being fully free from the org via my ex-communication really allows me to engage in conversations with members who allow me to do so.. what i have found interesting in every conversation is this common phrase, "you know (looking down their nose at me) the truth.
you know that the information is correct so imperfect organization or not this is jehovah's chosen organization.
Most who left the borg did so in physically but still are in captive of the cult concept which have hindered them from being enlightened and being unsheckled from the concept. Most hold onto the doctrin and living under fear and are unhappy.
I consider myself extremly fortuneat that I combated the cult in a reletively short time, with help of the internet. I now be able to see the borg as a third person. What I see is...the JONE'S TOWN!

my question is how do you get a hold of stuff like the "finished mystery" "the divine plan of the ages" and other pertinent false doctrine that has been swept under the rug and locked in the coffers at wt headquarters?
i feel so helpless because if i show my wife info on the net she will just write it off as apostate and altered like we have all been trained to think.

1. Read the context from different Translations and then establish which one context refers to Jehovah or Jesus.
2. Read them from the NWT to check for the correct translation.
3. You can double check them from 'The Kingdom Interlinear Translation
Let them know how you feel if 2 women(your wife and her mother) attack you and tell them, "You are persecuting me for following Jesus and His Father and the Bible"-use the same guilt trip JWs use on us. Make her/them feel like being your persecutor(in fact they are) and read John chapter 9 to her/them. It worked for me.
We used to prepared the Watchtower study for the meeting at our home on Saturdays. We would invited different familly for that and had dinner afterward. My husband, a host and an elder, coustumarily conducted the study. At one point we were told by the CO that no person should conduct private home Bible study. We were directed to have everyone take turn reading the paragraph from the magazine and ask designated question and answer the question upon he/she finish reading the paragraph. In that way no one will be in teaching position or can influence others with his view point. And that's what we ended up did. They bascically discourgaed the private Bible study even in preparing the Watchtower study . I thought that was odd. That was sevral years before canceling the book study
I look back that the GB were in extrem paranoid for not able to control what's going on beyond the KH level to the point canceling the book study all together. It seemed that they have been contemplating in canceling it for a while until they can come up with the excuse. The high gas price-What a patheticic excuse to use to deceive their followers! They never resumed it following year when the gas price dropped.
Believe me, one thing they are not is that they have your best interest. They will through you to the wolf and sign contract with the devil in a second to benefit them and to meet their agenda.

if jesus returned in 1914, i can understand he would be invisible to the rest of mankind so he can seperate the wheat from the chaff from thier genuine behaviour, but why is he also invisible to the congregation he is head of?.
he appeared to the original disciples before he went to heaven, now he has "returned", why hasnt he appeared to his faithfull and discreet slave?.
if he is directing his church on earth, shouldnt he at least appear to the president to give him some direction and to ensure "his" chosen congregation doesnt make any silly mistakes that would hamper the work?.
In fact Jesus did return and personafied himself as the Governing Body, the mediator, for you & me.

Oompa, Isn't that interesting how JWs parents always use a horrid and negative guideline from the Old Testment to intimidate their children while ignoring a loving and positive example of Prodigal Son that found in the NT in helping their troubled offsprings? The JWs go back to the OT to support their harsh guidline and yet they claim Jesus nullified/fullfiled the Old Covenant and now they are under the New Covenant found in the NT.
I used to say exact same thing to my children as your dad did. What a monstrous thing to say to your children! I was simple repeating the leaders of the cult ograrnization. i have been on this site daily, almost from its beginning, since i left the jws in 2001, but i have been more of a reader than a poster, as you can see from my post count.
i know few here know me, although i know many of you through reading your posts.
maybe it is not right to ask for support, when i generally stay quietly in the background of this forum, but i want only to speak a human misery of the deepest kind.

He was kind and gentle man who loved you unconditionally. He will remain in your heart and in your memory as such a wonderful person. That will comfort you in the coming years. But now the pain is unbearable... There's no words that can easy your pain but we are here to share your pain. It was the most devastating when we lost our oldest 2 years ago. She was your son's age.
