  How many JW pedofiles do you personally know?

  i was just thinking that out of the 200 jws that i actually know, at least 4 of them to my knowledge are pedophiles.

  i know for a fact, through personal confidences.

  that means, as far as my circle of jovo friends/acquaintances goes, 2% of them are kiddy fiddlers.. without mentioning names or details, how many do you know of for a certainty to be pedos, and what percentage does it work out at, considering all your circle of jovo friends?.

  There are always some innocent people behind the bar in all crimes.

  Did you know that according to the study (in the US, I believe it was done by the government agency. I was told by the social worker at DCFS. I had been counseld by her for about 2 years) that only 20 some percent of the sexual crime victims eventually report the crime? And only 4% of the reported crimes will have their day in court. I was told prosecuting and convicting sexual criminals are the hardest case in the criminal justice. The pedophile who molested mine was never even arrested. Although there were total 3 victims of his that we know of. The Body of elders destroyed the evidence of his crimes and at the end we, victim and victims family, got punished instead.

  (I may have to contact the social worker in the coming week for the copy of the study if anyone would like to confirm the information)

  7 total. 4 convicted pedos(1elder. 3 publishers). 2 was concealed by elders(2 publishers). And a JW woman who molested her own granddaughter. I read the letter that was wrote by the granddaughter to my friend. It was sad and shocking!

  Out of all 7, only 2 got disfellowshipped and 1(an elder who raped all his 5 daughters and has been in the prison since mid 90's) was reinstated.

  My own was victimized by one of these pedophiles.

  Fleaman uk, that's over 3 percent counting publishers of 225 from 2 congregations. You got to remember too that these 7 are not the total numbers but the ones that I only personally know of. So, where's your claim of "23% are made up" come from?

  Oh, another thing, I only knew 1, an elder pedophile who raped all his daughter, for all those time while attending the same congregation for 18 years. I learned about the other 6 only after my own was victimized. That really opened my eyes. I personally verifed and spoke with either victims or family of victims in all 7 cases. Fleaman, I am glad this hasn't happened to your family.

  what happened to the watchtower society's emphasis on learning your bible, developing a stronger doctrinal foundation and providing talks that were relevant in peoples lives?

  previous threads have questioned the lack of discussion/debate young or old witnesses will engage at your door.

  the solution lies in the down sizing of deep bible based talks, real substance discussed at meetings has gone away.

  Not only do they not give you tools, they actually take tools away from you. Tools, essential to go about basic human needs namely, housing, education, employment, human dingnity, pursuit of happiness, etc.

  Two points I brought home with me from a recent Circuit Overseer's visiting:

  1. When elders ask you to do something that doesn't make any sense, you do it without question. You don't need to know why.(Yes, I am not kidding. That's exactly what he said and I took note.)

  2. Less you know better you will be. It's all lie.(regarding internet and information. We had a CO in early May, pre-Candace Conti verdict. I finally appreciate Watchtower's propaganda on this particular talk prepared by the Governning Body.)

  When was the last time have I heard the scriptural sermon at the Kingdom Hall? I was telling my husband the other day that I need to do something quick in order to regain the faith. It may be too late. I lost most, if not all, faith in God from repeatedly hearing the utter garbage from the KH.

  I agree with Doc. You are giving Watchtower way too much credit. It's twisted mind controlling at its best. Beyond sad.

  My BMI is 22. Creepy thing is I am to be a Vietnamese. That's pretty darn close guessing!

  Interestingly when I lowered 2 lbs, I am an African. That tells a lot about their malnourshed condition. (I am not by any means)

  Omg! My daughter is from Vietnam as well. Creepy!

  Yeh, I helped my Witness apologist family took the Survey the other day.

  From that I learned the ereas that I need to work on with him which are Boold doctrine and Birthday(no big deal for this one Imo). It took a while and had to go back 4 times for him to answer on whether or not Witness being God's only chennel but he finally answered it: "NO"(He contested that he should have been given more options for answering. I told him that we do things like that of the GB. Black and White, Yes or No. Not in between. He got the point. I am so proud of him! That changed his status to 'Mentally Diseased Class.')

  I hope I can post the Survey on my FB before the end of the year.

  in the latest october 15th 2012 watchtower (page 13).... "because of what they perceive as defects in the elders, some individuals who engage in serious wrongdoing in the congregation have refused to appear before a committee of elders assigned to help them.

  this could be likened to a patient who loses out on the benefits of a treatment because he does not like something about the doctor.".

  sounds like they're now trying to stigmatize those who try to avoid judical action.
