Now I've found open ears and can tell my story through the film. One of the most important things to me is to teach people tolerance, humanity and peace.
Now, this is interesting. I wrote almost identical points to a friend recently. Except I learned this importance lesson as of the result of the inhumane persecution of the Jehovah's Witnesses leaders.
When he was being bullied, browbeaten, threatened with his life to give up his principles, he didn't, because of his conscience. Isn't that the message we try to give our young people?"
How hypocrite! Protecting young people is not what JWs leaders do. Considering it a JWs propaganda film. The man not only wasted away his entire life to the cult but also unwittingly(?) misleading people to the same kind of people that persecuted him. What a sick irony! -

The answers are:
the Gruesome Evil is War
the Axeman is the country, Great Britian in this case,
the "Children" are the following generations of its citizens.

My country is sick
by sabastious inthis is a melancholy day for me.
over the past few years i have been studying american politics and have enjoyed learning perspectives from different ideologies.
i personally lean towards conservative values when it comes to creating legislature, however i am socially liberal.

Your country is sick in your persepective.
Most of my siblings got to see, in their dream, what a Middle School (Junior High) looks like in my native Country, South Korea, due to poverty.
K-12 grades is all paid for in the US.
You have early collegy programs that are free.
You have a welfare system
You have a freedom of speech.
What you have are what me and my siblings only could/can dream of.

How Many Friends Did You Lose Over This Election?
by JustMeNonJDub ini lost one, and i am saddened by it.
i may disagree with friends over politics and/or religion, but the only reason i would cut off a friend is if they betrayed me.
anyone else lost friends or cut off friends because of politics or religion?.

Shunning - Irony, Hypocrisy and Tragedy - Watchtower jw.org
by wannabefree in***g7/09p.29 is it wrong to change your religion?***.
"no one should be forced to worship in a way that he finds unacceptable or be made to choose between his beliefs and his family.".
ironically, the religion and publisher of this statement is one of the biggest offenders with their shunning policy of its members who come to the conclusion that their form of worship is unacceptable.. for some, this severe shunning is too much to bear.. ...help me through this my old friends...i really did not want to be dfd!...i am fourth generation....i had already been shunned by my lifelong friends due to my outspoken words regarding my discovering we had changed the bible to make it say what jw's want it to...but now i have lost my family....oomps.

Contrary to their own public version of July. 09 Awake, notice what the latest Watctower Study articles say.
w5/15/2012, para 13 on page 26:
13 Jehovah hates sin, and so should
we. Indeed, we ought to move as far
away from wrongdoing as possible and
not see how close we can get to it without
being overcome by sin. For instance,
we need to guard against succumbing
to apostasy, a sin that would make us
unfit to glorify God. (Deut. 13:6-9) Let
us therefore have nothing to do with
apostates or anyone who claims to be
a brother but who is dishonoring God.
This should be the case even if he is a
family member. (1 Cor. 5:11) We are not
benefited by trying to refute the arguments
of apostates or those who are critical
of Jehovah’s organization. In fact,
it is spiritually dangerous and improper
to peruse their information, whether
it appears in written form or it is found
on the Internet.—Read Isaiah 5:20; Matthew
7:6.
w January 2013
19 On the other hand, if you choose the path of resentment
toward Jehovah, you will distance yourself from him.
Really, what your beloved family member needs to see is
your resolute stance to put Jehovah above everything else
—including the family bond . So to cope with the situation,
be sure to maintain your own spirituality. Do not isolate
yourself from your faithful Christian brothers and sisters.
(Prov. 18:1) Pour out your feelings to Jehovah in prayer. (Ps.
62:7, 8) Do not look for excuses to associate with a disfellowshipped
family member, for example, through e-mail.(1 Cor. 5:11) Stay absorbed in spiritual activities. (1 Cor.
15:58) The sister quoted above says, “I know that I must stay
busy in Jehovah’s service and keep myself in a spiritually
strong condition so that when my daughter does come back
to Jehovah, I will be in a position to help her.”What a deceitful organization! No wonder the Watchtower has 2 different magazines. One for the recruit(public version) and the other to control dedicated members(study atricle).
RIP, Oompa.

Telling family about "new light"
by Billy the Ex-Bethelite inokay, now it's my turn to start a thread about the gb/fds "new light" now that it's been well covered by many threads.
i've noticed that a few have brought this subject up with dub family who accepted wt "new light" without objection, saying that it "made sense" for the fds to only be the gb.
so i have an idea of how to bring this up with my family in such a way that will highlight that this doesn't make sense... at all.. and the timing of this whole thing is incredibly convenient for me since it wasn't that long ago that this came up with my parents and i said that the wt interpretation of the fds in matthew was out-of-context and flawed.

The Faithful and Discreet Slave was NOT appointed at Pentecost 33CE, meaning that there has not been a continuous line of members of the Slave Class on the earth down through the ages. The Slave Class was only appointed for the first time by Christ in 1919.
Billy, Please use Watchtower Study aritical 1/15/2012, page 4-8, "True Christians Respect God's Word" as reference. This study article claimed the complete opposite of the above claim. It was less than a year ago.
Notice what paragraph 14 says, "In a parable, Jesus indicated that from the first century onward, there would always be some genuine anointed Christians on the earth.....Let uis consider a few examples." (check para 15-17, they gives examples of indivisuals of genuine anointed. It started out with Archbishop Agobard of Lyons, France(779-840) and ended with George Storrs (1796-1879), who succed by Russel)
