  the two poignant issues hotly debated on this board involve both banning posters who transgress established guidelines and the issue of using moderators to delete offensive posts.

  there have been several reasonable points made on both sides of these issues and i think it fair to say that unless we come up with some creative thinking to offer some new alternatives that no matter what simon does he is going to have some people who are either happy or unhappy with the course of action he chooses.

  indeed, the present controversies are fast becoming volatile emotional issues.. .

  So this is turning into a LETS sue Simon board! if we can't come here and be as offensive as we like?

  I didn't sign up on this board to threaten people and certainly not the owner. I can't believe someone is actually posting a threat after 100 or so posts. or after 4 weeks on the board. Already yelling LAWSUIT! MY RIGHTS ARE BEING VIOLATED!

  Some guy is suing the Fast Food Chains because he had no idea that their food was fattening.

  There was no sign saying

  "Don't eat three Big Mac's

  EVERY DAY

  if you want to stay skinny"

  i DON'T SEE ANY REAL SENSE IN SQUABBLING ABOUT IT. oPINIONS ARE NICE UNTIL THEY TURN REAL UGLY. iF THIS PLACE TURNS INTO ALL THE OTHERS THEN WE CAN ALWAYS JUST LEAVE. wHY HANG AROUND JUST TO FIGHT OVER IT.

  DUH...spilling coffee and messing up key board.

  I don't feel like typing this all over again so I sure hope no one starts yelling at me to stop yelling.

  My cat--Need Your Help in Naming Her

  i have a new cat.

  a smallish young adult (1-2 years old) female, with black & gold back and white chest, belly and feet.

  i can't come up with a name i like.

  I'm a cat person too.

  I always gave my cats exotic people names.

  My Russian blue fem, her name was Nadia.

  I had a cat that looked like a little Ocelot. Her name was Paca (Swahili for little girl)

  And a Siamese named Meeshan

  I had a calico cat many years ago that a friend of mine named "AllSpice" because she had 4 different colors of spots. we called her Spice

  and so on.

  Oh I had a black fluffy cat named Alex because she was a nasty btch, reminded me of Alexis Carrington on "The Carringtons" from that TV Show about the Denver family. (Off shoot of Dallas)

  did it use profanity/unaccepted curse words?

  deleting stuff is ok......but the board can deal with it, especially posters like 'bleep'.

  i posted a thread on bill bowen's disfellowshipping thread and the sentences ran off the screen.

  this bugs me no end when i see it on other posts.

  and i have been wondering for a long time why it .

  <P>That has happened to me on occasion when I transfered from word. But I don't know exactly what causes it.</P>
  <P>When that happens you either have to change the formatting when you edit your post.</P>
  <P>What I find that works for me, AND THIS IS PROBABLY THE HARD WAY, but use the enter key when editing your post the same as you would do on an old type writer. If you only have a short paragraph sometimes that works just as fast as going through the formatting stuff.</P>

  H20 vs JWD

  h20 was a smashing success for a long time, even with many moderators.

  the board rules were basically good common sense, and expressed some issues as to matters of law, such as not violating copyright, etc.

  i don't understand why h20 went down the tank.

  Eggs

  life here in our community has been tough lately, so i thought i would put up some fluff.

  my question to you is: what is your favorite way to eat eggs?

  now, my preference is hard boiled eggs in a salad, an egg salid sandwich, and the royalty of all egg meals - eggs benedict.
