Single Pretty Girls that are JWs, have so much potential, but sadly........

the pandemic has made the situation worse for single young jw girls.. i'm hearing tons of sad stories of single jw girls who are going, or have gone into deep depression.

with many having thoughts of committing suicide and hoping for a better life in the new order.. the pandemic has made it almost impossible for young jw girls to find a suitable marriage mate.

especially since the single jw boys-men want young, gorgeous, thin, virgins, who look like models and summit to the headship arrangement.

Apparently there is a new article from the GB about the dangers of online/app dating. Now they are encouraging single JWs to use Zoom break out session to find a potential partner. I think there must be a lot of fornicating -> disfellowship/reproving going on with people not having physical interactions (pressure) from the congregation.

They are in damage control and trying to limit single JWs from being unevenly yoked with unbelievers. In the good old days, where do you go to meeting young spiritual(pretty) sisters? At the assemblies and conventions where you volunteer to help your fellow worshippers.

Zoom just will not cut it and the pandemic is really showing the weak side of the GB policy. The chances of people falling off the wagon is greater once they are cut of from the constant indoctrination

They received gift from a non JW family member. They started to feel the presence of demons and they seek help from elders. They threw the gift away but the demons still harrased them. They prayed and put on kingdom melodies and that helped chase the demons away

What’s Your View On Self Defense?

if someone comes to you with a knife or a gun, would you defend yourself if you could?

if someone tried to beat you up , would you physically engage, run away or just try to talk the person out of beating you up or robbing you?

if you did have a gun to defend yourself would you shoot to kill or would you simply aim for the ankle to incapacitate the person?

If you can run, that will be the best option. Even if you have a gun and you shoot the assailant, taking another human life can also cause side effects like PTSD, similar to what happened to soldiers.

If the idiot is trying to kill you, then, I would rather kill than be killed.

Covid / India

the " not a pandemic" brigade have been noticably absent about the situation in india..

There’s a pandemic by definition, but it’s hardly the life-ending plague it was predicted to be. It sucks that people die, but people die every year, especially from preventable diseases and no one is bitching about that last time I checked.

There is definitely an element of propaganda and mis-information. You need to remember that any time a new disease raises its ugly face, there is always fear mongering and misinformation. When HIV-AIDS made the news, there was a lot of fear mongering as well. That said, saying that Corvid19 "it’s hardly the life-ending plague it was predicted to be" is a little disingenuous if you only take a single data point to make your point (death toll).

A lot of experts were not sure about the full impact of Corvid19 in the beginning and what they could go by was data from previous pandemic that cost millions of lives. Thanks to modern medicine and new media (mass communication), most government were able to stem the flow of what could have been a more deadly outcome.

Best hamburger. Big Mac? Really!! I love a feta burger myself but I will say when I want junk McDonald’s makes the grade.

I have tasted Bic Mac in 3 different continents and that Junk food taste is consitent

'Theocratic Careers' and the Covid Pandemic

the watchtower has always banged on about not pursuing worldly careers and that best career was 'theocratic service.

but now i am wondering what line they will take.

let's have look at the options;.

Missionary Service : Almost all missionary homes have been sold or closed and most missionaries in parts of Central South America/Africa have been sent packing. Most recent Guilead graduation was field with bethelites or former missionries. Most of them are sent back to the same location or back to some branch office. There was a massive cull in Brookly as well when the started moving to the new HQ.
Bethel Service : Recently they closed all bethels in Central America and sent many back to the field aka back home. Massive reduction in the bethel in Mexico and many were not pleased. Before that, the bethel in Mexico printed for Mexico and Central America, with the reduction of the magazines from 1536 pages(per year) to only 46 pages (per year). You read that right, only 3 WT per year with only 16 pages. Calendars, and many publication have been discontinued which means you need less workers.
Serving Where the need is Great : Most of those who had plans to serve where the heat is greater have had to rethink that. Many already established would probably have gone back home because of the instability ($$$$)caused by the pandemic
Construction Work : Quick builds have been dead for a long time. What seems to be happening is that many congregations are being merged and KHs sold. They sometimes build a new KH and merge multiple congregations into the new hall and just sell the remaining. There is less enthusiasm for members to contribute $$$ to the local congregation since the GB took over the halls and raided the bank accounts of many congregation. Imagine how people felt seeing a KH you contributed to and helped build being sold and the organization pocketing the cash.
Foreign Language Groups and Congregations : The lastest update from the GB is that the FL groups and congregation are a waste of time and $$$ so they are closing them down. A lot of disgruntled elders losing their fancy position in the FL field. Now add those elders to main language congregation with a lot of elders and each vying for the little position that is left. Some congregations are huge with 150 to 200 publishers. Very little room to shine. The competition will be interesting

Pioneer service : Due to the pandemic and people having a hard time meeting the hours requirement, they have just decided that pioneering has no hour requirement. Just do what you can. The difficulty will be getting those people to get back to active preaching once the pandemic is over. Once you taste the good life, going back to hardship will not be easy
Circuit Overseers : The days of the COs are also numbered. With the merging and FL groups being dissolved, that means there will be a reduction in the number of Circuits. Some overseers will be getting the boot sooner or later. Another difficulty for the COs will be going back to visiting each congregation every week when you have experienced over a year of bliss running everything through Zoom. Once the meeting is over, you are home and don't have to deal with spiritually trying to encourage others. The stress level must now be lower.

That above leaves very little room for those aspiring (ambitious) for spiritual position in the organization. There is little left to reach out to. Even talks are now video sent by the organization for assemblies. You can't add your personal touch and shine like before. The future will be really interesting.

BTW, only those who have been in the organization long enough will appreciate the shift in the organization strategy. The younger ones (under 30) really wouldn't have a point of reference and they will not share the same point of view.
