Neither the term "Watch Tower" nor the name "Jehovah's witnesses" come from Jehovah's Witnesses
by Kenneson inthe term "watch tower" originated with the second adventists and was a carry over by charles taze russell to his own religious periodical and society.
even the proclaimers book admits as much.
in the footnote we read: "the expression 'watch tower' is not unique to russell's writings or to jehovah's witnesses.

April 23, 1933 - the most significant date of all.
by Focus inapril 23, 1933 - the most significant date of all.
every single one of you will, of course, know the significance of this momentous date in the history of god's people and their "inspired", ark-like organization.. do you know what was the significance of that critical date?.
do not expect the earthly media to provide you with a clue.

Focus:
Something strange is happening. Originally, when I clicked on your links I got a message from Chrome that it couldn't find the page. When I deleted the ?page=1 portion of the link it worked.
Now, on both your links and my edited version of your links I get a message from JWN (not from Chrome) that the page cannot be found.
Maybe there is a server problem.(?)
Edited to add:
I noticed from experimenting that if you right-click on the link address and paste it into the address bar, the link has .net rather than .com
Edited to add again:
Viewing the page source, I noticed that the links are .com just as you typed them. I suspect that the JWN software is automatically interpreting "jehovahs-witness.com" as "jehovahs-witness.net" If so, I guess that is something Simon would have to look into.
At any rate, I can access the links.

Focus:
I noticed that your links don't work. For example:
This doesn't work: http://www.jehovahs-witness.com/topic/real-evil-watchtower-nazis-blood?page=1
But this does: http://www.jehovahs-witness.com/topic/real-evil-watchtower-nazis-blood
I don't know if that is just an issue with Chrome (which I use) or if it is a problem with all browsers.
But again, thank you. I can make the links work with a little adjustment.

Incidentally, for those downloading the video files, I recommend that you download the 480p files rather than the 720p files, especially if you intend to put them on some sort of transferrable media such as a jump drive. The Sunday AM 720p file is 4.07 GB. This is too large for a 32 bit file system. I don't know if any of the other 720p files are that large, but they should be somewhere in that ballpark. (I think 4.04 GB (or there abouts) is max for a 32 bit file system. The files are in MP4 format.

Ann:
I found that comment (not yours, but at the RC) about Satan's world making some progres to be downright weird. It sounded like Satan was somewhat reformed and trying to do better, but just too-little-too-late. It sounded strange when he is supposed to be having great anger and causing woe for the earth and all that.

The best thing I got out of this thread was finding out about the Chrome download resume option. I don't know how many downloads got interrupted and had to start over in the several years I've been using Chrome.
That aside, it made it possible to download the entire set of DC MP4s. Which leads to the question, why are 8 million JWs going house to house to invite neighbors to a DC that may be hours from where they live? Think about it. They would probably be much more successful getting some of those neighbors to watch it, or even a portion of it, on their computers - if it was available.
So what is more important to the WT - Getting people to see the information presented, or getting more souls into the convention site?
This, in itself, exposes the real concern of the WT.
(If you are using Chrome and want to activate the download resume option, type Chrome://flags into the address bar, and scroll down about halfway to " Enable Download Resumption Mac, Windows, Linux, Chrome OS" and click "enable.")

I may have found a fix for Chrome. I'm testing it now. You type "Chrome://flags" (without the quotations) into the address bar of Chrome. A list of experimental options will appear. About halfway down is the option "Enable Download Resume." Click on enable.
To use: Chrome has a download bar at the bottom of the window. When a download fails, simply right click on the tab showing the failed download and click on the "Resume" option in the context menu.
I'm trying to download Sunday AM and it has already failed. "Resume" has picked up where I left off. We'll see if I can get the whole thing (4.1 GB)
