You can survive a nuclear war. It all depends where the bombs go off.
This site has some interesting smoke graphics for several nuclear war scenarios:
Indo-Pakistani war with 100 detonations.

this may be the wrong area for this but here goes.. if you went to a bank and told them " i don't have an account with you, i never will have an account with you and i will tell people you are a terrible bank" then ask not for a loan from them, but a gift of a lot of money, how do you think they would respond?.
yet, witnesses now have the the ability to take blood fractions from the blood bank without ever contributing to the blood bank.
there is a process that the blood bank takes just the plasma from a donor to be used for fractions only.

I second steve's tip of the hat to you! Thanks.

Well, this isn't to say that I don't think very highly of people like Kerry Louderback-Wood and her excellent article in The Journal of Church and State several years ago, but from what I've observed, the highest quality of argumentation against the transfusion medicine taboo occured between the years 1996 and 1999, when Dr. Muramoto and others working with him got articles published in major medical journals
Is any of this online so that it can be referenced?
BTW, thank you for the information.

my congregation got a reminder today to start donating money.
elder said that after the letter on the new donation arrangement was read, the contributions for that fund went from the average (i believe it was $500 or so) to $0.
after that reminder, cash was put into those boxes.
yeah, I always wondered why does God need money
how much did your congregation and its bank account get taken for?
share your horror story!.
Sir82 , I thought the KH property deeds have been in the Society's name for 2 or 3 years now. Was I wrong?
I posted about this here. The articles/bylaws are passed via resolution by the title holding congregation only. And only a majority of those present need vote for it. Thus, where I'm at, there are three congregations. But only one voted on the bylaws. This congregation has nearly 80 publishers, but only 44 adult publishers were present the night of the vote. So it would have taken only 23 to vote for it to pass it. (Of course, the vote was unanimous as far as I could tell - minus one abstention.)
The articles don't actually transfer the ownership to the Society. Instead, they say that if the title holding congregation is dissolved (something only the WT could do) then the property goes to the Society after all debts are serviced.
In an informal polling, I could only find two people who had actually read the articles, myself and one of my close relatives - and him/her only because I pointed them out. They were allowed to hang on the info board for two weeks prior to the vote. The cong. was told they would be there.
five events to come and to watch for:.
1 world leaders say peace and security!
- they "say" this but may not fully "achieve" this.
i was watching a video on youtube about chistianity and its founding and it came to my attention that the city of nazareth did not even excist when jesus was said to be alive.
it was'nt really anything accept a cemetary until about 200 ad.
so just like the city of goshen were the israelites were said to be from when they left egypt during the exodus, looks like another major flaw in the bible..
1914 did not bring the end they were hoping for so new light shone down from above and corrected their understanding.. 1925 also led to unfulfilled expectations and so new light was bestowed.. .
(i could go through all the dates and expectations... but i won't.).
what if the new light about 1914 being the year that christ returned was provided before 1914?

A few years ago they had some new light about the tose of the statue in the book of Daniel and this time they mean nothing. I dont think this new light was do to any pressure other than to throw the R&F a bone.
You might be right about that. The "new light" about the "toes" of Daniel chapter 2 was actually recycled "new light."
*** w78 6/15 p. 13 Human Governments Crushed by God’s Kingdom ***
Tracing the development of the world powers through the image, from head to foot in the stream of time, we see that it begins with Babylon, and progressively goes through Medo-Persia, Greece and Rome. The “fourth kingdom,” represented in the legs and feet, began with the Roman Empire. As time progressed, the power of this empire waned and the British Empire ascended, it being really an outgrowth from the old Roman Empire. This was so even though there was a vying with certain remnants of the Roman Empire for the position of world power. (Dan. 7:19, 20) There does not appear to be any prophetic significance to the image’s having ten toes. This is a natural human feature, just as the image has two arms, two legs, and so forth.
Maybe they should be charged with false advertising. If I'm going to buy into some "new light," I want it to actually be "new," not "refurbished."

if you look closely at the picture on page 15 there seem to be several weird faces!
is this the art dept.
illustrating what jehovah really looks like?
I kinda think it's the facial recognition 'software' in one's own mind. We are hardwired, so to speak, to recognize faces. So we tend to see faces where there aren't any because of features in a picture that resemble faces. For example:
