Change of the 2 Baptismal Questions Soon?
by The Fall Guy inq1 - on the basis of the sacrifice of jesus christ, have you dedicated yourself to god & the governing body?.
q2 - do you understand that your dedication and baptism as one of jehovah's witnesses identifies your belief the wtbts's literature is equal in authority with the bible?
having answered yes to these questions, candidates are in a right heart condition sufficiently brain-dead to undergo christian jw.borg baptism..

Is porn really such a big problem in the wt?
by purrpurr inin the most recent circuit assembly there was a lot about porn and warning against porn.
even warning against looking at swim wear adverts!
so i was wondering, is porn really such an issue in the wt?.

Be careful though you married ones. I overheard a married sister asking another sister if she could get her husband disfellowshipped and get divorced because she had caught him masturbating.
What a great way for sisters to get a divorce, withhold the sex, wait for her husband to get so frustrated that he turns to porn, then report him.
I am sure her place will be safe on the Ark that is the Org whilst her husband can be pelted by fiery rocks by an angry God.

Prediction time: just has i told my wife a month ago, the 144000 is not a litteral number and the GB are the only anointed
by goingthruthemotions inso things have been calm so far...knock on wood!!!
but i was thinking today...a month ago in one of our arguments.
i told her the 144000 was not to considered a literal number.

The way I read it now is that there is a literal 144000, but that they are literally 12000 from each of the 12 tribes of Israel, just as the Bible actually states rather than being symbolic, a fulfillment of Gods promise to Abraham, this is then followed in verse 9 by the "Great Crowd" which I do not see as a different group, but is exactly the same as the 144000 but are the un-numbered group comprising the greater number of Gentiles who accepted Jesus. It states they have white robes and serve God day and night in his temple. Doesnt say these are the only Earth bound survivors of Armageddon.
Whilst man may no longer know the geneolgy of the descendants of the lost tribes, I am sure God knows.
This would help explain why there are far more than 144000 anointed, in fact I think all Christians in the last days who resist worshipping the Beast when it comes will be anointed.
I also think there will be ones who come out of the Great Tribulation who did not wash their robes in the Blood of the Lamb, these will provide the Nations that Jesus will Shepard with a rod of iron and who comprise the Nations that attack the Holy city at the end of the thousand years rather than Witnesses and resurrected who have gone bad and failed the "second test".
On top of which the resurrection doesn't happen at the beginning of the Thousand years so Dubs can train them whilst Sisters knit them clothing, according to the Bible, the general Resurrection happens after the thousand years:- And they lived and reigned with Christ for a[a] thousand years. 5 But the rest of the dead did not live again until the thousand years were finished

Cedar Point 1922 convention attendees, are you still happy?
by Nambo in“happy is the one who keeps in expectation* and who arrives at the 1,335 days!.
we all know the climax of the book of daniel, the fulfillment of all god's prophetic promises to mankind found their fulfillment at the 1922 cedar point convention, nothing more ecstatic will ever befall mankind as this wonderful convention.. those of us born after 1922 are so jealous that we missed the only "happy" event that would befall gods people in the end times.
can you guys tell us about it before you await the resurrection as there is nothing "happy" promised for us to look forward too.. or has "new light" been shed on my favourite jw claim of scriptural fulfillment being realised in themselves?

Did she attend this actual convention?, She is "Blessed" then according to some other translations, I wonder if those of us who where not around then are therefore not blessed? -

Revealing Watchtower tax returns
by Nambo inplease excuse if this has already been posted:- https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ysyqish-l_e.
under the freedom of information act, this guy has tax returns showing where your money goes, where it is invested, companies like northrop gruman, monsanto, cigarette and porn peddlers, and we thought we where giving money to god!
i am quite sickened to discover i was giving money to the watchtower to invest in arms manufacturers..
-
Nambo
This surely cannot be a gift from a single person, we are talking about millions and millions of Dollars, I am no wiser to how this works?
All that money that is invested must come from the Watchtower in the first place surely?, who would donate so many millions to the org?

For the first time in years, I had a Witness call, a young Lady, she asked, "Who do you think runs the world" and I replied "Satan" which didn't surprise her as much as when I started quoting Scripture.
She told me where the Kingdom Hall was and I replied, "Yes I know, I helped build it, you have a photograph of me in your Quick-build album", along with other massive hints such as, "You wont be allowed to return visit me", she must have realised I was an ex, her friend was certainly looking horrified when she arrived after 10 minutes to see what this wonderful call was her friend had found.
Thing is, this girl sounded genuine Christian rather than dub, I get the impression she was new in the Twoof, she liked what I was saying so much that she asked if she could come back the next day. I did get to say to her, "if you ever find yourself at odds with the organisation, you dont need to abandon God as well because the JW's dont own God, come back and see me then and I will help you"
Of course she didn't come back, been got at for sure, surprised I haven't had my first Elder visit after 20 years of missing the meetings, but she might remember the things I said if she ever wants to find out TTATT so I think its worth talking to them because you might save a Lamb of God from their jaws.

Are we participants in this forum because of bouts of "loneliness"?
by Wonderment ini wonder how many of us here hold on to this meeting place out of "loneliness.
could it be that we harbor feelings of "abandonment" and "loneliness" from being left cold and dry by the wt people and our families?
perhaps we do have a need to reach out to people with similar experiences.

I'm lonely, the Watchtower took my courting years, so I am left to face old age alone, though I did meet a Sister when I was in, the Elders gave her the old, "Jehovah wont be pleased if you marry somebody from a lower Caste" story, so my heart was broken.
But apart from the org and its teachings, the nicest people I ever met were in the Twoof, and I guess that's you guys.
