  What if Adam knew his wife, before the sin?

  i sometimes wonder how things would have been if adam and eve had procreated before eating from the tree of knowledge, and the ramifications of such.. if any children didnt also eat of the tree, would we now have two groups of humans on earth, one perfect and living forever, and us.. would god have split the two classes of human, putting eden on another planet or dimension or such?.

  does this indicate that its all deliberate, that god knew satans plan so let the play unfold before letting adam and eve know each other?.

  or does it just mean that satan was allready corrupted and wanted to get his deed done at the very beggining to ensuer he had everyone?.

  Interesting stuff OGD, though it would take me a lot of working out to see if it harmonises with the rest of the Bible and the Ransom sacrifice.

  Even if it isnt quite literal, but an analogy, would my initial musings still be valid?, for I have a further idea.

  As has been pointed out, God surely must have known what was going to happen, so he could have destroyed Satan first and prevented all this?, he surely prevented reproduction in order to ovoid the complications I mentioned, so how about this:-

  The Issue of soverignty or whatever, had allready been raised in the Spirit Realm before the material creation.

  The material creation, namely, us, was formed for the express purpose of demonstrating the issues Satan had raised?

  Not saying the scripture that says something about us being on a stage acting out a play in front of the Angels, supports this, anybody else rememeber this scripture better than I?, I would say its probably from Acts but that would probably be a pun.

  Who did Jesus command to preach, the anointed or the great crowd?

  when one becomes filled with the knowledge of the promised earthly paradise under christ's kingdom, one wants to share it with others.

  it is good news!acts 5:41, 42.. doing this is an important way of showing that you are a disciple of jesus christ.

  in the bible, jesus is called "the faithful and true witness.

  Or is this just another way of them making themselves objects of worship by us?

  Does it fit any less into scripture the notion that the little flock, and the 144,000, are literal Hebrews, to fullfill the promise made to Abraham, and that the other sheep or great crowd, are Gentiles to whom Jesus has given exactly the same destiny as the little flock, that they become one flock under the one shepard and all do the same job, ie preaching?

  That makes more sense to me than the Bible and Jesus just being for the benifit of a handfull of men, yet we are all to be judged or condemned by it.

  how did/has the wtbts affected your social skills, social development, and/or how you interact with other people?

  i have many questions about different social skills that i will ask either after other people post to this thread or to keep this thread active.

  Pretty much the same as Clearpoison has said, its helped me no end for the same reason.

  I came in in my 20s, I had very poor communication skills, I remember one girlfriend asking me why I dont talk, I belive this stems from my childhood and being left alone in my room most of the time, with no social interaction.

  Once I "got the truth", things happened, a girl I was quite attracted too, but said I was too nice as she preffered "bastards", suddenly called me out the blue to come and see her, of course I went with a Live forever book and the fire of Jeremiah in my mouth, she said, "its like you have been suddenly attached to a computer, where is all this coming from"?

  Turned out I wasnt really shy at all, just never had anything worth talking about, and I still dont know how to talk about nothing, but the troof has given me the knowledge and confidence that I can talk to anybody.

  And where as before I was allways sullen, now I smile at people and they smile back and become chatty with me on a dailly basis, (where I work now there are about 1000 people), this would never have happened without the ministry work.

  When does someone become Anointed with Holy Spirit?

  however, according to 'accepted wisdom', there must be two baptisms - one visible, and one invisible.

  Previously, in other posts, I had related how I felt the Holy Spirit inside me, like a drug or God tickling me from the inside, this was prior to Baptism.

  About an hour after my JW baptism, I felt that same feeling, but on the outside of me, just as if it had been poured over my head and running down my body, like I say, on the outside, never felt such a feeling since.

  Now, at the time, I figuered this was just a feeling you got when you where baptised, I never considered I could be one of the mystical "Annointed", I couldnt relate to the JW vagueness of how you knew you where annointed.

  Its only since leaving the JW doctrines that I have figuered out, what is annointing?, its when oil, or in this case, Holy Spirit is poured out over your head, which is exactly what I felt.

  I no longer belive in 144, 000 only getting annointed, I belive that 144,000 are literal Hebrews of the 12 tribes to fullfill the promise to Abraham, and that the Great Crowd has the same destiny but are made of an unspecified number of Gentiles, and that the little sheep and the other flock join together to be the same flock with the same hope and same Baptism.

  Name Things You Did As A Witness That You Weren't Supposed To Do

  i was considered "exemplary" but i defintely liked my drinking with my other fellow examples.. porn was never a terrible thing to me.

  i looked.. throwing in a few extra hours and placements worked pretty well for me too..

  I think the Watchtower is apt to shoot itself in the foot with its doctrines of men.

  I remember a magazine article that stated how even Pioneers where kidding themselves by thinking their good works could compensate for such terrible things as masturbating and secretly accepting blood transfusions.

  So, right away they have labelled masturbating as being on the same badness level as having blood transfusions.

  So, I start thinking, what if I had a child, and it needed a blood transfusion but I let it die in order to please God, yet here I was, couldnt even say no to a wank, yet I would be willing to let my child die, hypocrite I labelled myself, so that realisation was probably what set me on the path to leaving.

  Well done Watchtower, you transverse land and sea to make one member, then proceed to make him even more of a sinner than he allready was.

  how ironic, that in hebrew the word for god is actually the name of a canaanite god el.

  ive recently been facinated by the etymology of word, particularly those in the bible.

  anyone can change the meanings or definition of words like we have witnessed with the generation, but the word itself cannot be changed.

  Leolaia.

  From reading your article about Yahweh originally being a son of the creator God El, along with your reference to Daniel 7 and Israel being apportioned to Yahweh, is it possible that Jesus was Yahweh and that when he was on Earth and praying to his Father in Heaven, he wasnt praying to Jehovah, but to El?

  Or am I just getting even more confused.

  the new religion for these preachers of paradise, is materialism.

  in their view, science is the arbitrator of truth.

  Is there no room on this forum for folk who do belive in God but no longer belive in the Watchtower.?

  One of the reasons I never joined this forum previously, is that it seemed to consist of blasphemers and God haters.

  There are many trapped inside the organisation who are going to be put off the help this forum can give them in a Spiritual way, if they perceive this forum is not just anti-Watchtower, but anti-Bible.

  Not meaning to be rude, but Iam astounded to learn folk here where acting as Ministers of God, even being Min serves and Elders, teaching people how to relate to a God that they plainly never in thier lives knew in the first place!

  my parents became witnesses whilst in germany when my father was stationed there with the british army.

  we then came back to england where i lived in darwen, lancashire, and attended darwen, bolton and blackburn congregations over the next 18 years.
