how many jw’s die each year for want of a blood transfusion?
according to the red cross and various national blood banks 4.5 million american lives are saved each year by blood transfusions.
... https://rrvbc.org/blood-facts/ .
How many people receive blood transfusions, but then die?
so this past week the wife and i have received several phone calls and text messages from our old hall.
we were also invited out to dinner to catch up with some old friends.
an hour before dinner this guys wife messaged my wife and said that she "can't wait for tonight!!
Darkknight757, these folks were complete jerks. Hope the dinner was good, at least.

utah jehovah’s witnesses church forced woman to listen to audio of her rape, lawsuit says.
a woman is suing a jehovah's witnesses church in weber county after, she says, one of its instructors repeatedly raped her when she was a minor and the organization's leadership forced her to listen to an audio recording of one of the assaults.. the woman filed the lawsuit wednesday in 2nd district court, accusing the kingdom hall of jehovah's witnesses church in roy — as well as naming the alleged perpetrator, several church leaders and the watchtower bible and tract society (the religion's headquarters located in new york) — of knowingly allowing the "unfit" instructor to rise to a position of authority without warning members of his "dangerous propensities" and past sexual transgressions.. read more: http://www.sltrib.com/news/4465861-155/woman-sues-utah-jehovahs-witnesses-church.
A leader from the congregation apparently warned the girl's parents in November 2006 that the instructor — who previously attended church sessions in Ogden and Oregon — was a "bad kid" who had "engaged in inappropriate sexual behavior with a female member of the Clearfield congregation."
The girl's interactions with the instructor began in summer 2007, the lawsuit states, when she attended a movie with him.
Sounds like he'd been a longtime loser.
And FYI ... age of consent is 16 in Utah.
Now, why the heck are they playing a tape in a judicial meeting. Some elders have absolutely no common sense.
what is getting me down are the difficult and troubling experiences posted by some of the forum users.
in a number of cases i cannot believe the injustice inflicted on the person.
how, forgive the wording, in god’s name can this be happening?
yes, people suck...a lot.
do jehovah witnesses believe jesus christ is lord?
looked it up in nwt "therefore, let all the house of israel know for a certainty that god made him both lord and christ".
" - acts 2:36a.
Yes, Christ is Lord. Next question.
i know only adultery is supposed to be grounds for "scriptural" divorce.
i'm a wicked apostate in their eyes, but my believing husband and i still can't get a divorce that would allow him to remarry.
we currently are separated - i have left him.
ok, slight exaggeration: specifically, an official recording of the july 25th, 2016 midweek meeting in german sign language downloaded from stream.jw.org, (log-in required), includes a brother with a beard giving one of the talks:.
.
there's nothing right or wrong about having a beard. it's a personal choice. and there's a recent wt article that points out that some brothers in positions of responsibility have beards.
so that was a "shocker".
i was not able to attend the meeting.
i had a more important one with my other apostate friends in the area.
just out of curiosity, is this a 79 yo CO?
ok, this probably applies to most faith systems that believe in any sort of afterlife, but i would like to know what sort of explanation the jw's would come up with for this little problem, you know, after armageddon on earthly paradise.
sorry if i sound dumb, but it's been nagging at me for a few weeks and have to ask.. so, what if a young married jw couple are living their life, waiting for the big a, knowing they will be together in the earthly paradise, then very sadly one of them dies.
from what i know, if a jw dies, that's it.
I love how no one knows the answer, but that doesn't stop you from saying this or that.
The answer is that no one knows. And the official position from the WT articles is that no one knows and we do no good speculating. If a spouse dies, and the surviving spouse chooses to remain single, there's nothing to say that they can't be together after the resurrection. If a spouse dies, and the surviving spouse chooses to remarry, then they can. And who's to say the resurrected one can't be happy with that scenario. They are free to marry some hottie from the 2nd century B.C.
