  hi everyone,.

  i am a new poster who is putting off their own personal story of finding this site for a while..... i find alot of people here utterly fascinating, and would like to know..... exactly what is everyones professional field of work?.

  i would like to be a full time poster on this forum, but alas, the $$$$ are quite light in that field of work.. apologies if this has been asked before.. just curious.

  after letting go of my beliefs as a jw, i felt the only alternative was to be atheist.

  or maybe it is just logical to there is no god when i am only listening to my mind and not my heart.

  Should we fear death?

  should we fear death?.

  how do you feel about dying?.

  after leaving the witnesses i find i am ever more aware of my own mortality.before i could comfort myself with the idea that i could be ressurected.i think the realisation that death will completly end my life , and that there was nothing afterward , was one of the most difficult things to come to terms with.. generally i don't think about it , but when some happens and i do , the idea , quite frankly scares the hell out of me.. but does death really bring the end to us?.

  Sunday movie, "Living with the Dead"

  i thought someone would post about the movie last sunday, (part 2 tonight, tuesday) "living with the dead", starring ted danson.

  it is the story of james van pragh, the psychic who sees dead people.

  it reminded me a little of "the sixth sense", especially when he was a little boy.. did anyone else see it?

  I have been studying this subject now for 20yrs and i believe in my heart there is life after death,i have experienced several things having sat in a circle with very gifted mediums,if this is the so called devils work then more power to his elbow.I would like to tell you about a sitting i had a few years ago with a medium.I had been searching for my dads mum over a period of time,as he never knew her,i got my dads birth certificate and found his mothers name on it,anyway during this time i didn't know she had died when i went to the medium.During the sitting i asked who was speaking to him and he said Mary she is your Grandmother and Mulan what she knew about me was incredible,she named all my children my 2 husbands and so on,but here is the best bit,she told the medium that she had another son,so me being me i decided to go to London to the Births Marriages and deaths agency and look through the records and i found him my dads half brother he was born in 1934 to Mary Winifred McCarthy,now to me that is first class evidence of life after death because no one knows this least of all my dad,so someone was communicating with the medium.
  Yes there is lots to know on this subject and it can be a very exciting path to follow but unfortunetly it dosen't suit everyone there are pitfalls.For me life has made more sense than it ever has it has given me answers that appeal to my reasoning more than any orthodox religion could ever do,i could go on and on but i won't,it is an interesting subject and there are lots of books on this to.
  Thanks for posting this it has generated a lot of interest.
