i have just had news that my jw daughter-in-law has been told that her baby, she is expecting in july, has a 1 in 400 chance of being downs syndrome, 3yrs ago her brothers wife also had a downs syndrome baby.. in 4 wks she will have another scan that will confirm this.
at this moment in time i can't find the words to express how i feel as my thoughts are towards my son and his family at this time.
i do know that all babies are precious no matter what happens, they also have 2 boys 1 of which is rebellious towards being a jw he says he hates jehovah, so life is difficult for him as my son is extremely strict with him, and now the news that their baby maybe born with downs syndrome must be awful for them.. has anyone here had to deal with something like this,and what, if any are the wts views on this sort of thing.

I am sure she said she didn't want the amnio as the risk of misscarriage was there.

My opinion on out of body experiences is that we are more than our body.
I have had 3 so far but not in an emergancy way you understand. I have been out of my body and seen myself laying there,it is amazing.I know of several people that have had this experience for whatever reason and the same applies,we are more than our body.
I say to those who scoff at this, investigate.

the mentally and physically handicapped aren't abundant in the kingdom halls.
if the jw religion is the only one that saves, then mentally and physically handicapped won't be saved.
wouldn't it be right to see more handicapped people, if indeed they have the truth?
I once asked a jw girl i was working with at the time about handicapped people and what would happen to them when armaggedon came, she said that unless their parents had taught them about jehovah they would not be saved. The reason i was asking her was because over the road where we were working a man i had knowwn for years who was severely handicapped was being buried,when she told me this i was shocked and i told her so.

the other day i was on the computer and i moved some files on jws into documents as i was in a hurry,didn't think anymore of it.. my grandsons came over who are jws and joined my son on the computer,my son went into documents and my grandsons saw the files and asked him why i had them, of course my son didn't know quite what to say and he didn't tell me until after they had gone home.
i am worried that they may tell their mum and dad what they saw.
if my son asks me why i have these files what should i say because i need to be careful.my family is everything to me especially my grandchildren.. qca1

Thanks for your advice. Some of you don't know but i am not and never have been a witness,my Son and family are, i share the computer with my younger Son and just forgot about moving the files.
