Greetings from a new member
by EdenOne ingreetings everyone.. just wanted to say hello to everyone, being a new member from western europe.. some may know me from another forum (eden, from e-jehovas-witnesses.com), but most don't, so this is my little intro.. male, in my early 40's.
still an active member in good standing of a jehovah's witnesses congregation in my country, and honestly not planning to change that status, despite my unorthodox beliefs.
sometime i will elaborate the reason why i don't feel i must leave.

Anyone else in "limbo?"
by KitchenWitDinah ini've been out of the organization for about 4 years now, but have been in limbo since i've left.
the more i learn about world religions, the less apt i am to accept anything as truth, since there are so many similarities between so many religions.
i know many cultures have flood myths involving 40-ish days and 8 survivors (the chinese written language has many surprising allusions to biblical stories).

1969 Kingdom Ministry PDF
by cabasilas infor those interested in collecting the pdfs of the kingdom ministry for research purposes.. as is well known, the watchtower library cd-rom starts its coverage of kms in 1970. however, the kms from 1966 to 1969 show a bit more of the excitement relating to the prediction that 6,000 years of man's existence would run out in the year 1975.. the 1969 kingdom ministry (51 mb) can be downloaded here:.

I'm in, and having a hard time biting my tongue sometimes
by noonehome ini spend allot of time with other young witnesses my age, and am very close to a few of these friends.
my question is, is there any way to safely talk about doubts?
for instance, i've been learning allot about evolution and the science behind the flood (or lack thereof).

i have been abused by this billion dollar evil religion since i was born.
i am now in my late thirties and have been battling depression issues over my former abuses by this nongoverment organization.

Has the GB ever explained how they receive "new light" from Jehovah?
by cobaltcupcake ini remember a long time ago the explanation was that various anointed ones would write to the gb with the same new understanding of a teaching, the gb would investigate it, and if it was acceptable, they'd pass it on to the r&f.
of course, now we have the new light that new light occurs only to the gb, not the anointed at large.
so, if any anointed ones get new ideas, they're just apostates, right?.

The Governing Body does not keep a list of all partakers, for it does not maintain a global network of anointed ones.
*** w11 8/15 p. 22 Questions From Readers ***"Those who make up the one true Christian organization today do not have angelic revelations or divine inspiration. But they do have the inspired Holy Scriptures, which contain revelations of God's thinking and will." Jehovah's Witnesses - Proclaimers of God's Kingdom (1993) p.708
So anyone who has a bible can say they are directed by "Holy spirit"
However, genuine anointed Christians do not demand special attention. They do not believe that their being of the anointed gives them special "insights,"
*** w07 5/1 pp. 30-31 Questions From Readers ***The Governing Body relies on God's holy spirit for direction. Its members do not regard themselves as the leaders of Jehovah's people
*** Bearing Witness (2009) chap. 14 p. 110 "We Have Come to a Unanimous Accord" *** -

Hi All - Finally Posting Here!
by Pyramid Scheme infirst off, i owe this site a tremendous debt of gratitude.
i have been an inactive witness for 4 glorious years, and the spark that began my fade out of the organziation was this site and paul's jwfacts.com.
it opened my eyes to a whole new world of insight, and i discovered that there were so many people out there like me - still a "spiritual" individual, but completely disgusted with the jw organization.

What's The Main Reason You Do Not Believe That The Witnesses Are The Best Religion?
by minimus insome people leave because they are fed up with the elders.
others have personality issues.
some have doctrinal and prophecy reasons.
