*** w11 8/15 p. 31 par. 16 Pursue Peace ***
One account involving Jehu shows that God's righteousness takes priority over peaceableness. God sent Jehu to execute His judgment on the house of King Ahab. Wicked King Jehoram, the son of Ahab and Jezebel, rode in his chariot to meet Jehu and said: "Is there peace, Jehu?" How did Jehu respond? He replied: "What peace could there be as long as there are the fornications of Jezebel your mother and her many sorceries?" (2 Ki. 9:22) With that, Jehu drew his bow and shot Jehoram through the heart. Just as Jehu took action, elders must not compromise with willful, unrepentant practicers of sin for the sake of keeping peace. They expel unrepentant sinners so that the congregation can continue to enjoy peace with God.-1 Cor. 5:1, 2, 11-13.

Would Elders You Knew Have Ordered Stonings If They Could Have?
by Cold Steel infor those of you who used to be jws, or who are active, if the society was in charge of the earth, how many people do you think you would have seen stoned during your lifetimes?
i realize some elders can be zealous about their work, but if they'd actually had administrative authority to have kh members stoned to death, how many elders did you know who would have been zealous enough to really order them?.
did you know any elders who would have ordered stonings, even if the condemned people had been willing to repent?.

School for Congregation Elders
by C.O.B.E.Beef ini attended the school late last year, and it was an emotional and mental rollercoaster for me.
i was already divided in my heart to say the least.
one of the instructors stayed in my home for the week, and my family genuinely enjoyed his company.

Thing to remember is these are not "privileges" it is are unpaid volunteer work.
In the near future elders and MS will start to realize that being in these positions
can make them legally liable as more and more lawsuits go against the Borg .

A THANK YOU to the board
by Jerohobobonadad inhello again.. i just thought i'd say "thanks" to all of the contributors to this board (and other boards/ websites, but mostly to this board).. i only started looking on the internet for info on the wtbts about 2 months ago.
for years i had huge doubts about the org, but no facts to rationalise these doubts.
some individuals have obviously spent many hours going through the societies literature and researching the history of the org and made this research widely available on line.. i can only imagine what it must have been like 10 or 20 years ago if a "witness" had doubts - where would you go to find out the facts?

You won't find much hating of JWs here . Many many here are active Elders, Pioneers, MS . But can't officially leave because they will
lose family because of unchristian shunning . Many of us have 20 , 30 , or more close family who are JWs. You'll find
that most critisism of Watchtower is accurate , verified, referenced , TRUE .
I went from being very active to inactive. I had been emotionally abused by JW leaders for decades.
It finally led me to do deep accurate research into the history and timelines of doctrine change within Watchtower .
Thousands here are not DAed or DFed but inactive because they found out "the truth about the truth" TTATT

by Braehead innice to meet you all.
long time lurker, but now i can get my twopenneth in.. a brief history.. born into the religion, but it never really took hold - thankful for an easily bored mind and strong, worldly grandparents.. never very interested - dragged from meeting to field service.
in the teenage years i wanted university and my parents want a pioneer.
