i`ve spent the morning and part of my afternoon... getting to the bottom of... why names were added to the awaa fan page... it`s a dangerous thing to happen in our world... faders can be outed,we can lose,family,friends... the results can be an absolute disaster... .

Zed, I see no "spin" it was a candid timeline.

Two areas you are mistaken:

1. Barbara did not resign from AAWA, only as VP.

2. I was added to a "fans" facebook group that was mimicking the Official AAWA group. That "fan's" page at the time had AAWA logos all over it and appeared all over my news feed. Several of my Facebook friends made comments to this fact (some of them current and active JWs). Upon realizing the group was not the Official Secret AAWA group I removed myself. Shortly after that "fan's" group page changed it's name and graphics.

Malvinas...you are dead wrong and acting under assumption and speculation. Unless you are versed in United States and International Law please refrain from posting your sensationalism.

Again these mudslinging placards boil down to baseless attacks and slander. What is the point? What is your goal? What do you believe you have under your belt that has not already been covered through a litigious advisor?

Reading through the archives of JWN I can't help but notice the dissent against posters like Bill Bowen, Rick Ferron, Cedars, Barbara, and the like. Its only a handful that are so skeptical, I doubt they even number close to 50. Of course coming from a high control entity like Watchtower this is to be expected by some. Trust no one, believe in nothing, tear anything apart at a moments notice.

What is intersting to me is that every one that has been hammered on JWN has gone on to have monumental success fighting the policies of Watchtower and helping countless thousands of individuals steer clear of and get away from Watchtower.

AAWA is not different. With a high calibur board and list of successful actions against the Watchtower for many years already, they are bound to find even more success.

Here we are grasping at straws trying to tear them apart before they get started over an issue of micked identity and the expose it caused. Its the same thing over and over on this forum.

Two years ago a handful of you attacked me for going public against the Elder abusing my daughter. My posts were deleted and despite my participation and response to dissent I was quelled. Perhaps 1 or 2 posters showed compassion and PMed me their support. I found that support.

Needless to say, I have gone on to see that Elder sitting in jail awaiting trial and prosecution. Despite all of you dissenters, narcissistic serial complainers telling me I was off my rocker, he will most likely spend many years in state prison and our civil suit will see him , the congo, and WT anguishing for years to come.

I need to ask all of you who have an extreme BONER for AAWA and Cedars. What is your deal? What are you doing? What have you done? Seriously answer the questions and post it here for us to see.

You can all bitch and moan until you are blue in the face. AAWA is launched and will soar.

NOT one of you that blasted me 2 years ago has come forward to say sorry and eat crow. I expect nothing less from an internet forum where we can hide behind a laptop and post drivel behind a vodka tonic.

"Jehovah's witnesses discussion" was mentioned above as the FB page. Easy to find and easy to see the administrator. I suggest if he is a member of JWN he weigh in and clear things up or offer up his head to be excommunicated, shunned, banished, disassociated, cast out, lynched...

Seriously what are we asking for and what is the point? Lets move on and forward and avoid validating the stigmatization of acting like gang of ferrel cats unable to be herded.

If you don't want to be outed, stay off Facebook.

This is all very confusing to me. I understand what it means to keep a low profile. Wouldn't it be wise to have an alias FB page that could be used for all things and everything you would never want current JWs to see or be alerted to? If you are on FB pages that are adding you to groups randomly, wouldn't the problem lie primarily with those FB pages you were already included on?

Plain and simple, if you are trying to keep a low profile do not have FB pages directly connected to your geniune person. And by all means do not include any current JWs on your friends list. You cant have your cake and eat it too.

For what it is worth, during my tour of duty we disfellowshipped exactly 13 people for items they placed on their Facebook.

Get off facebook.

Books for making a choice to believe in the Bible or not

i know some of you have referenced excellent books but i am not sure where to find them.

i am looking for some very good books to give me the other side of not believing the bible.

i am not sure where i stand at this point and would like to be informed.

Anyone taking bets on the number of partakers this year?

even with the change to "just domestics", i can't see the number going down.

Know of a newly reinstated 40 year old that partook last year. His new wife also partook this year with him (mid 30s). Another close friend, never baptized, partook along with his two younger brothers(40,35,28 years of age). Finally, an elder I have known for 30 years who never partook in the past decided this year would be the first for him. Two elderly partakers deceased earlier this year. So in my small circle it was a plus 6 minus 2. I would guess the partakers this year will be close to 16,000. We will see.

Apostates are blown out of the water by an elder's response to my e-mail

the following are two emails (one mine, one from an elder) that are part of an exchange regarding the unfairness of shunning.

he comes from a "highly decorated" family of jw's.

How are apostates blown out of the water with this email?

Whoever this elder is, he is a tool. Apostates are just like all of us? Then why does Watchtower label them "mentally diseased"?

Apostates don't follow Jesus example? But the JWs do? How many policies does Watchtower's Governing Body implement that have no bible basis?

Who has adopted false doctrines? Watchtower does not corner the market on biblical doctrines or the interpretation of such. Perhaps many apostates have a clearer understanding of doctrines without the JW spin.

Apostates don't witness? You have to be kidding me. They are more passionate and obsessed about witnessing their truths than any JW.

JWs meet together robotically and habitually. Apostates unite in groups and via the Internet on a worldwide scale motivated by genuine passion and interest in awakening others.

Mr Elder talks about deciding which truth to follow. He tells us much about his psyche. He knows there is more than one truth that captures interest. He is deeply worried he is following the wrong one.

Jgnat, perhaps a letter campaign should be set upon the United Nations? If they responded then they were listening. What if they received 10,000 similar letters? Why SHOULDN'T more reliable agencies be counted on to act in our behalf?

And despite the increased pressure from WT regarding DFing, a large majority are still ignoring it as always. From my perspective anyway.
