They are just expendable soldiers of jah! Lol. I seem to remember the GB encouraging JW's in lands with persecution to not try and escape it but to continue enduring. Can anyone confirm?

They sure as hell won't lift a finger to help or pay a ransom out of the ol WT coffers! They need it all to defend child molesters!

Looking Back, Did You Notice Many JWs Had Drinking, Drug or Mental Issues?
by minimus inas an elder, i saw many people that were affected by booze, drugs and mental health issues.
a lot of witnesses fought depression and turned to other things when they realized they couldn't keep up the pace and find inner happiness with what they did do..

I once knew a woman after she became a JW; she ended up taking medication for depression. She was a JW for several years, and eventually left it. About a year after she left, she stopped taking those medications, and she learned that the cult was the reason for her depression.
Tameria I noticed the same thing about myself. My psychiatrist classed me bipolar because of my family history but she didn't know about the cult because at first I didn't mention it because of the all the fear the JW's put into you about it. Now that I'm awake I don't have as much mental stuff going on. Maybe that is the self medication with the alcohol a bit but I no longer need my meds.

I forgot to mention I've suffered from crushing depression and suicidal thoughts.

Just gonna give you a quick run down of myself and my Jdub family.
Me - X-druggie (meth, MDMA, Ketamine, Weed, Pain pills, LSD, Mushrooms, GHB, Xanex) I did all these but my main one was meth and Xanex to come down with) When I re-entered the cult and got clean I became an alcoholic after becoming unhappy and learning TTATT and I consider myself a functioning one to this day. Not sure how well my liver functions though.
Wife - Drinks like a fish and takes her Prozac and pain pills
MIL - too many to mention but she has a permanent perscription for anxiety meds and narcotic classed pain pills and is a diabetic
DAD - functioning alcoholic like me
MOM - She escaped the cult way before I did but is bipolar I with psychotic mania and is on antipsychotics and mood stabilizers.
I'd say I take the cake.

Unstopableravens we are in similar situations. I'd love to talk with you sometime Pm me and I'll give you my skype info. I went to a few sessions with a therapist myself and when my wife found out she demanded to know exactly what it was concerning. She flipped out on me and insisted all I need to do is go talk to the elders. I swear the Jdubs are terrified of psychologists!

I sorta had the same thing going on myself although as a man I think it all came out as pure disgust and anger. At first I couldn't figure out why I was so mad all the time. I went to my psychiatrist and they numbed me for awhile with antipsychotics but even that didn't work after a while. That all was a precurser to my awakening.
