is anyone sensing an increasingly sanctimonious arrogance in j-dubs recently?
im asking this as i am finding that with the two major news stories in the last few weeks (ie.
You could always say, " at least Jehovah will have less people to kill during Armageddon. It will usher in the new system faster. How does that make you feel?"
Jehovah's witnesses are emotionally driven people. Therefore, you must reach their emotions, because they aren't really into thinking. That's why the society publishes so many illustrations in their books and magazines. To Keep them child like. If you create an illustration while providing your counter argument it would be useful.
mormon or jehovah's wittnesses... lds.org or jw.org... i almost can't tell the difference anymore, i remember saying mormons are crazy... lol i should have looked in the mirror.

I would drink the LDS kool-aid. At least, I would be able and even encouraged to attend college. I would be allowed to vote, say merry Christmas and dress up during Halloween- as long as my costume isn't satanic. I'll be able to go to heaven and become like god, and eventually rule over my own planet. All I have to do is wear under garments, give up coffee, tea, sweets and have lots of children, pay dues and attend service. At least I'm guaranteed an afterlife in one of the levels of heaven. With Jehovah I'm either back on earth or still in the grave.
the influx of new posters made me wonder if the push to view jw.org is helping curious ones find this support site?.

My then bible conductor told me not to read sites talking about jws. My conductor told me the best information that is true was on their former site watchtower.org I was skeptical because it sounded like my conductor was hiding something. As soon as they get the logo tattoo the Borg will be in the works of creating a new design.Ya know that entire new light stuff. It would be cool to have a ton of tatts of the past-present watchtower logos. It would be like a calendar with days scratched out.

okay, let's do a big what-if: suppose the gb for its own unfathomable reasons suddenly got new light (tm) and decided to start appointing women elders and ministerial servants.
they would, of course, refer to the examples of junia (apostle), and priscilla and phoebe (deaconesses in wordlyspeak) in the greek scriptures; never mind what mental somersaults it would take to get them there.
stranger things have happened in wt history.. that being the case, would having women in positions of real authority make any significant difference in the congos or in the borg as a whole, and why or why not?.
If women were appointed as elders, there would be a lot of judicial action taking place. I imagine it would be a chance to go after those who pose a threat to ones ego. I think it would also be harder to fade if we had women elders. They will hunt you down!
these 2 options are before me right now-.
1. write a letter to the elders and my family, not da myself but basically saying i have too much going on in my life and am confused, so that they will stop bothering my wife and stop asking me questions all the time.
after i write the letter continue to go to the hall less and less.... 2. appease my wife.
Yes, the mental illness card is the best. If you can get a diagnosis from a professional even better. My congregation fears the word schizophrenia and the elders leave you alone if you mention depression. You will get a lot of time to yourself to do fun things. The elders will give you articles and send you on your way. Option 1 could lead to a judicial committee because you said youre confused and option 2-Just isn't healthy, because you're going to snap. If you use the depression card you can guilt trip your wife for pressuring you. You just have to make your wife believe you're depressed, for example you could say- I'm done with this life and leave the house for a few hours to go have a bite to eat or go to the cinema. She will think you're depressed and have given up on life. When actually you were referring to your jw life hehe. This is the only way I see you being able to walk freely between both worlds.

i have suffered with menopausal symptoms for a few years now.
hot flushes and facial sweating, the most noticeable to others.. a sister i knew used to laugh and pretty much, mock me.
i used to say "you wait till you get them" , without being nasty.. i seriously hope she suffers.
It definitely will teach her humility. Experience is the best teacher. By the way you do not sound like a 12 years old! These feelings are normal and can occur in anyone. The nerve of people on here. Smh
yes, the jws continue to bleed their young ones, so far in my local kh 3 were dfd, one girl just turned 18 this month and packed her bags and said goodbye to the cult and her cultish parents, another young 18 year old man decided to have a non-jw girlfriend and decided to stop attending and is no longer a witness.
they continue to leave and wt leaders dont give a damn.
they dont do anything to help kids be successful and live a healthy life.. .
Statistics-evidence! Gosh can't we just let our friend say what's on his mind. His experience is true for him, and his observations are based on what he knows to be true from his environment (congregations, friends etc). That's what I appreciated about his post.
