  Congregation had to relocate Memorial...thanks to me

  so, the two local congregations were planning to hold their memorial together at 7:30 at the local community center, but they had to make a last-minute change to their own hall, and i'm pretty sure it was because of me.. let me explain.... at work on monday afternoon, a co-worker returned from her lunchbreak and showed me the memorial invitation that was waiitng in her door when she went home for lunch.

  i noticed the sticker on the back indicated the memorial was being held, not at the local hall, but at the community center.

  from a past (non-jw) event i attended there, i knew they didn't allow alcohol (unless you pay for security guards), so i wrote to the center's coordinator:.

  Rules are rules. JW shouldn't have tried to break them. Did anyone get hurt? no? then I look at it as therapy. SB inconvenienced them which is no way like how we are being inconvenienced dealing with guilt, depression, anxiety, etc. We all deal with being "mentally diseased" in different ways.

  Wait...I thought the Passover came first and then immediately after was the bread and wine event. Jesus started something completely new and ended the Passover tradition on the same night.

  What happened to alerting the authorities??? True, one may talk to a friend first. That friend should point victim to police, not religious leaders.

  well i spent a few weeks putting this one together it took sooooo much longer than i thought it would, but as you know, a few of us many of us on jwnet spend way too much time fighting the "watchtower power" hehe.

  Need Help: What Would You Try to Tell Current JW's?

  i've been journaling a lot the past couple of years....it was recommended to me by a therapist when my anger was boiling over.. so recently i decided to start an exercise: what would you tell them if they would listen?.

  i've started listing my top 10 and it's interesting......i'm over all of the doctrinal insanity.....i'm forever indebted to the more scholarly among us that have put so much effort into research, writing, etc.!!!.

  mine all focused on more 'human' subjects....emotions, pain, etc.

  1. If it's the truth, why does it keep changing? Why is research outside of WBTS frowned upon? If it is the truth, shouldn't it stand up to scrunity?

  2. Why is there no provision made for those who leave voluntarily? They are treated the same way as those who are ousted.

  3. If God is omipotent, why is a man-made organization necessary?
