NEW UK BETHEL - START SAVING

a letter was read tonight at the meeting with this information.. apparently, three years ago the gb authorised the uk bethel to consolidate all the uk resources.

so far over 300 sites have been looked at but more information will be forthcoming.. in the meantime we can work to this end by saving so that we can contribute to the new facility.. also skilled and unskilled trades people can register for volunteer work, collect an application form from the secretary.. to me it seems like they are going to move out of london (mill hill, bittacy hill etc), get a cheaper area, pay for the new facility with donations and free labour.

they will then sell all the high value property and probably send the money to the us.

this is a report in spanish conerning david splane giving a prayer at a convention.. perhaps someone can translate it better, but google translate gave the following:.

during prayer, should no longer be necessary to bow his head in a mass meeting, as was splane throughout the prayer, head up, down, left and right looking at all tiers, not hiding in the least.. so splane is looking all around at the sudience while giving a prayer?!!!.

can someone confirm that is what the spanish text says?.

Just once I would like to hear them give a truly contrite, penitent prayer, earnestly and humbly begging for forgiveness of THEIR sins. What's the chance of that ever happening?

Sounds like what you would do when giving a talk to your underlings. These GB members, DO's, etc always have to make the final prayer sound like the last mini-talk of the assembly.

Fading fast children are starting to ask questions, need help.

ok i have been fading fast, missed a lot of meetings over the past couple of months and the kids think its mostly do to my being busy with work.

this morning was probably the first sunday that i was home and could go but did not.

so my 8 year old asked me if i was going and why when i said no.

One meeting day tell your kids your going to stay home and read the Bible and you want them to stay and read with you. Tell them you have been reading the Bible and you want to start where you left off. Start reading in Matt 18. When you get to 18:20 you might stop and say something like, 'Hey, that's interesting. Does that mean the Jesus is here with us today? And, of course, if Jesus is with us that means Jehovah is with us too, isn't he?'

After they answer the obvious YES, you might add, 'Isn't that interesting, so I guess sometimes we don't have to be at the meeting for Jesus to be with us and that is the most important thing, isn't it kids?' Carry on your reading.
