If you click "Help" in the top right corner, you get a help page which seems to indicate this is the Congregation Internet Site (CIS).
Edit to add: I'll bet they are going to elimate all the paper monthly reporting forms, and let the numbers get uploaded or otherwise entered electronically. Jehovah's chariot moves quickly: they are almost up to 1998 levels of corporate efficiency!

(apologies if this is old news)
Last summer I posted about an unusual empty web page at the Watch Tower's domain www.ccjw.org. The otherwise blank page was simply titled "SI Projects".
Well, it appears that the ccjw.org domain is being used or tested for something. Check it out: www.ccjw.org.
Intranet? Extranet? Divine secure email? Perhaps Jah logs in and posts his whims, so that His Channel can print it for the masses?

listing of authorities and their date for the fall of Jerusalem
by M.J. insorry if this has been posted before.
i came across it and thought it was worth pointing out: http://members.tripod.com/sosoutreach/wts/607.html.
(edited) the annoying popup caused me to cut and paste the table from the page, rather than embed it: the narrative before and after is good too so you might want to check it out the original page.

Heh heh heh....
"Celebrated WT scholars"
... heh heh heh.
I laugh out loud everytime I read that! (I know it is not considered proper to laugh at the mentally ill, but I can't help myself in this case).

dozy, although I appreciate your skepticism, your comparison is flawed.
Those economists were, essentially, trying to predict the future. This discussion deals with historians talking about the historical past. What has happened in the past is fixed, there is one "right" answer.
If you have ever watched CNBC or MSNBC or PBS's NBR, you will appreicate that for every economist's opinion, there is another economist with the exact opposite opinion. Only time will tell which is right and which is wrong. I'll bet if you did any research, you would see that the opinion of those 364 economists was met with an equally large (although perhaps less vocal?) group of economists that predicted the opposite. (Edit to add: there are/were MANY more economists in the world at that time than just 364!)
To make a more appropriate use of your analogy, imagine if we gathered 1000 economists today (including those 364 that predicted disaster) together and found that one still felt that Maggie's policies did wreck the economy; the rest felt they were successful (including the 364 who now have to admit they were wrong). Watchtower is like that one lone crackpot economist, that looks into the past, studies historical facts and trends, and then proclaims his view of the past that is totally out of sync with everyone else.

Who's more ignorant--
by MerryMagdalene inthem for believing this or me for not being able to believe it (and not being able to stop chuckling)?it should be realized that the bible does not say that any mountains in noah's day were as tall as mount everest.
scientists have said that in the past many of the mountains were much lower than at present and that some have even been pushed up from under the seas.
furthermore, it is believed that there was a time when the oceans themselves were smaller and the continents were larger than they are now, as testified to by river channels extending far out under the oceans.

Another case of WTS glossing over the facts when quoting others.
Yes, the Plate Tectonic Theory says that the mountains are, essentially, huge wrinkles created near the seams when plates press up against one another.
However, this process generally takes, according to the theory, millions of years.
WTS is cleverly implying that these tall mountains popped up within the last 5000 years (i.e. since the alleged Noachian flood).

P.S. interesting how they seem to embrace part of Plate Tectonic Theory, and yet feel that Evolutionary Theory is unacceptable because it it just a theory. Hypocritical Double Standard. -

Legolas, CJYE 1250 is, as I understand things, a Christian radio station; Drew's is a Christian show, but his "in your face" style makes him the "black sheep" of the station. (Only Drew, on a Christian radio station, would refer to "Jesus Freaks") :)
IIRC, last time I was on Drew said the show had about 150,000 listeners. That seems a bit high to me, but hey, what do I know about local radio demographics? The station can be heard in the Greater Toronto Area (over 6 million people) and I think all the way out to Niagara Falls and Buffalo, New York.
Interesting fact: Drew is a one man band on this show. During the week, he does research, books guests, prepares the technical stuff, and sells his own air time. I wish I had such a fun and flexible career!

Cool. I had as much fun listening to that as I had when I was in the studio!
One thing is for sure: I've got to drink less COFFEE next time. Man, I was going a mile-a-minute! :)
But I had a lot of ground to cover in a short period of time, and I was trying to "get it all in".
I hope Drew has me back on the show. It would be interesting to talk about some broader issues, like typical characteristics of High Control Groups, in a general way.

I think many of you will return to the religion one day
by free2beme ini don't mean this as an insult, more of a life experience thing.
i saw a lot of people leave in my years there and a lot were angry with the religion and the people, and some even protested the kingdom halls and wrote things in the newspapers.
a lot though, came back in time, as it was just the comfort zone they felt at ease in.

Mr. Natas is correct, it will be posted on the Drew Marshall web site on Thursday.
I'm hoping that this won't be the last time I'm not Drew's show -- or any other, for that matter. Drew asked me if I'd be interested in going head to head with a JW in the studio; I said YES, but I doubt he'd be able to find one willing to participate. But if he does, I'll be happy to participate.

Thanks for the advice & input, everyone.
I'm prepping here, trying to make sure I have some solid, memorable points for the listeners.
I'm excited and nervous; which is different from last time, when all emotions were squashed under the crushing burden of worrying about the law suit.
Today I plan to have a lot of fun.
