I'm going to be the contrarian on this issue.
They almost never bother me -- and not because they know who I am, rather because their "work" in my area is so inept.
I look forward to talking to them on those rare occasions when they manage to talk to me. I admit I might have a different opinion if they were here every 2 to 4 weeks.
I am always friendly, courteous, and unrelenting in challenging their bulls**t. I stick to basic logic and demand evidence for any claims, rather than object to doctrinal issues, which could lead to them figuring out that I "know too much" to be just another householder.
Last summer a young JW man approached me in a local parkette (which was deserted, why was he there? Very inefficient). I talked to him for almost an hour, and I'm confident that I planted some seeds of logic in his young mind. No, he won't de-convert immediately, but I got some gears turning upstairs.
Why do I bother?
Because I wish someone would have helped plant a few seeds of logic and reason in my young mind, before I was baptized. I can't turn back the clock, but I can "pay it forward".
Also, on a more immediate, practical level, if they are talking to me, they are NOT talking to someone else. So I guess I'm also "taking one for the team".

Do you believe in life after death?
by Newborn ini'm not scared of death but as for most people i find it hard to accept it's just over when we die...but no-one can ever know... and i'm working on coming to terms with that.

Sometimes I wonder if there is life after falling asleep! (JK, maybe).
I have no reason to think I was around for the 15 billion years the universe existed before I was born, and that doesn't bother me. I expect a similar fate (non-existence) after I'm gone. Of course, I will be thrilled to find out I'm wrong and will happily eat crow. I will "hope for the best and plan for the worst" which means I'd better make this life count for something.

Agree totally with Elsewhere; the production quality is excellent, and I think that is important.
In particular, I always wonder who is doing the voiceover; sounds like a pro. If it is a pro, I hope he is working for you pro bono.

VM44, I forget the exact story (despite my mother telling me several times) but my vague recollection goes like this:
Somehow, my mother (a new and young immigrant to Canada from UK) met or got in contact with Glen How (they were both JWs at the time, so it is not impossibly unlikely that they would know of each other). They might have been in the same hall, I can't remember. I think my mom was here as a Nanny, so she might have been working in a nice upscale neighborhood (for a worldy person? YIKES) which would explain why they might have even been in the same KH.
IIRC, Glen recommended my Mom to his friend/colleague/fellow JW, Frank Motrille, and Mom started working for Frank.
Of course, years later, Frank Motrille was pitted against Glen How in the Vickie Boer trial here in Toronto. Knowing the back story, I took perverse delight in seeing it played out in court; much better than "Law & Order". On the very first day of the trial, my wife was seated right next to Glen How. This was before the ad hoc seating segregation developed, wherein the JWS all sat together on the left side and all us evil nasty apostates (i.e. supporters of Vickie) sat on the right side.

Blondie, your memory is good, but let me clarify the parties involved in my case and the timeline (in case anyone is interested).
Before I state the facts, I would note that "Glen Howe & Associates" office is located entirely within the grounds of the WTS Canada (2nd floor above the Kingdom Hall, to be specific, IIRC). There is no doubt that this case was handled intimately by How & Associates, even after the case file had been given to Bereskin & Parr. However, the exact extent of Glen How's involvement is not known from the documents available to me; his signature is not on any paperwork I have. Rather, Shane Brady's name is on the C&D.
The initial Cease & Desist letter
Received January 11, 2005
Letterhead: W. Glen How & Associates
Signed by: Shane H. Brady
Service of notification of action and statement of claim
Issued Sept 2, 2005
Served to me: Sept 8, 2005
Firm acting for the plaintiffs: Bereskin & Parr (a top Toronto IP law firm, but no known relation to WTS)
Bereskin & Parr lawyer working this case for Watchtower: Jonathan Colombo
Execution of Settlement Agreement Signed, for the WTS Canada, by Kenneth A. Little, President (WTS Canada)
Signed, for the WTS of Pennsylvania, by Kenneth A. Little, ("on behalf of Watch Tower Bible and Tract Society of Pennsylvania")
Back to the topic of this thread: Glen, you showed that a tenacious lawyer, placed in a situation that allows him to focus all his efforts on a dimly lit corner of case law, and given free rein, and material support, to doggedly pursue an agenda without the usual burdens of earning a living and supporting a family, can illuminate that case law for the benefit of your masters. And if that work accidentally helped anyone other than your masters, so be it.
You also showed the highest example of mental compartmentalization syndrome, by working as a lawyer (applied logician) for the WTS (where logical fallacies are the norm).
But you also helped my mother find a job when she first arrived in Canada, and for that I thank you. May you rest in peace.
