Looks like you had a good time.
I nearly ended up in Albania on our honeymoon in Corfu. I went out on a windsurf showing off to my new missus. I was having the time of my life till the wind started coming from all directions! In the ens I had to sit down on the board. The wife could only see a dot in the distance, I must have been about a mile from Albania and getting extremely worried. Eventually I was rescued by the owners of the hire company, what a relief! Albania was still under communist rule at the time, I could have been shot

I'm **so** glad I won't be in 'the new system'

after many, many weeks or months of hard labour, clearing away 3 or 4 skips worth of rubble from paths, sheds and greenhouses, digging over soil and leveling it we finally layed our turf today!.
i am knackered and don't even have any beer in the house .

at one time. What would you put the feeling of like being one of the "Anointed" down to? Just curious, because you must have dismissed that experience when you came out of JW's.

How would you explain jws to a non-jw?
by Gadget inin the past, when i've been talking about being a witness they haven't really understood just how much of an impact it has on your life unless they've been one too.
whats the best way to explain it to someone who has never been a witness and had little contact with them?
i'm more thinking of how much control there is over your life, and the reason why a lot of witnesses feel down and suffer from depression, ect.. gadget

I was thinking about explaining my JW background to my team manager. He had been saying how we see outward appearances and see colleagues only from a work prospective, that we can be surprised at some of the thing we are involved with in our personnel lives. For example one of my team members is a Satanist!
I decided not to try and explain, because of having the same question you asked in the subject line.

Just had huge arguement outside hall....
by Gadget ina few days ago i sent a message to an elder(one of the ones from my jc) asking him if he could get in contact with my girlfriend because i was very worried about her.
after the meeting tonight he asked if he could have a chat with me outside the hall.
he explained that he could not get in contact with her, as she was out of his jurisdiction.

Yep, I was on the old H20 site.
I wished I had taken time to back the archives up, as advised. Shame the archives were not attached to the new H20.
I love to get some of my qwerty post back. It was great the help and support I was shown with post like "I thought I had the truth".
Anyone got the archives!!!!!!!
