Let's take pictures of Kingdom Halls!
by Nosferatu inyou know, i never had a clue why people did this.
it's not like kingdom halls in different cities look different.
they just have a different shape, a different shaped yard, trees in different locations, and some had that car stop thingy which stopped you from getting wet.

Sirona,
Prime example of what some of us was talking about at the BBQ. The problem with forums like this and text, it's easy to jump to conclusions about a persons was or is trying to say.

WT 2003 CDROM - User agreement!
by qwerty injust borrowed a wtcd from a friend................ i carn't believe a "non" profit organisation can do this or rather put restrictions on the the coping of the wt cdrom.
isn't there literature distributed free?
then why is make the copying of the wt library for the benefit of declaring the "truth" wrong!

I can imagine future editions to be activated on a Watchtower WebSite like Windows XP.
I bet they are thinking of that, or you might have given them an idea!!!!!
sunshineToo....
Does it still have some literatures from late 60s and early 70s? I have a 1997 version, and it has very few literatures from those times except for some megazines. I guess they don't people to see their 1975 fiesco.
Ermm just minute!..........
WT's - 1950 - 2003
Awake - 1970 - 2003
Books - odd ones in 70's (not much though)

Thanks for your comments everyone. Only just got back to the board, sorry!
Runningman - Exactly my point, thanks.
No Apologies
The software and the documents stored on the disk are all copyrighted by them. They have every right to restrict redistribution of the CD contents.
Why are you all so shocked that they would have these kind of 'restrictions' in the user agreement? Have you read the user agreements on other commercial software? There is nothing out of the ordinary here.
There should be no restrictions if they want all mankind to have the same access to their literature. I guess they are scared to many undesirables "Apostates" and Bible scholars will pull the WT writings to bits, like what's been done in the past with books in paper format. Now technology can put thousands of electronic books on CDROM, making it easier to cross reference in seconds.
I fink they are a little nervous who gets their hands on the WTCDROM.

Look at number 6!!!!!!!!!!!
1. What constitutes proper use?
Watchtower Library has been designed for your personal use. Hence, you may copy, print, or excerpt from the data for your personal use. But you may not distribute the program or large sections of the data to others who do not own Watchtower Library on CD-ROM. Nor may you copy, print, or excerpt from the copyrighted data to prepare and distribute books. Please do not put the program or data on the Internet or any public network.2. Who may have a copy of Watchtower Library?
Watchtower Library is a research tool for Jehovah's Witnesses, not for the public or for institutions such as schools or libraries.3. May I copy the program and data onto my hard disk and then not use the CD-ROM?
Yes, that is possible with this version. Less disk space is involved when you access the data from the CD-ROM itself; however, the speed of some operations is significantly improved if the data is stored on the hard disk.4. If I personally own several computers, may I copy Watchtower Library and/or its data onto these?
Yes.5. May I make a duplicate of my CD-ROM as a backup in case I lose or damage my original?
Yes, but this does not refer to duplicating the CD-ROM for others, which would fall outside the realm of personal use.6. May I write commercial software or utilities that employ the program or data from Watchtower Library?
No. It is not proper to charge for or to receive money from writing or distributing any software that employs the Watchtower Library program, utilities, or data.Any comments?
