Many in the states are open to post with their user name where they are, perhaps because the U.S.A is so large. I know for some of us, it might be a big step and this might not be the time even to identify what country.

Some might even be open to say what county/State.

Please think about it.

i just posted this on h2o and though i'd put a copy here as well.... hi rick,.

i just thought it may be appropriate for me to express my appreciation for your site and what you have accomplished over the last few years and i'm sure will continue to do.. like many others, h2o was one of the sites which helped to open my eyes to the watchtower society and beliefs and practices of jehovahs witnesses and realise that there were things seriously wrong which a lot of other people saw as well - it wasn't just limited to our local congregation.. i did participate on h2o occasionally as caliban but never really kept up-to-date with all the posters, personalities and what was going on between them.. the reason i decided to create an alternative forum, www.jehovahs-witness.com, was because at the time it appeared that the very pro-jw community was well served by witnet and the anti-jw's had h2o but that it may have been a bit too much for the 'mildly curious' jw to visit.

my idea was to have a forum more like witnet which would gradually allow more open discussion than was allowed there without being too off putting to many as a way of introducing the issues to them more gently.. i'm sure your views and standpoints have changed over the years and mine have too.

I'd just like to say thanks myself for your hard work. I don't think I can't begin to imagine the amount of time and personnal sacrifice it takes to maintain this board, how do you keep up with all the Emails?

Rick, if you are reading this thread thanks also, H20 was the first proper discussion board (over a year ago now) that I found like minded friends. Sorry for not posting there as often, this board is alot faster.

Medicine comes in all forms, H2O and JW.com are just the right kind. Some medicine (posts)is hard to swollow but beneficial in the long run.

A scripture comes to mind....LOL

On here and H20 helps us to fulfill that need...... Especialy if we all keep in mind verse 24.

Window Cleaners?

like a lot of others here, i gave higher education a miss when i left school (1980).

under the encouragement of the society i pioneered for three years instead!.

now i clean windows for a living.

Yep, I am a Window Cleaner, have been for about 15yrs. Funnily enough since becoming a Jehovah's Witness. I pack in my managerial Job to pioneer and job as a Part time soldier!

I have another Part time Job now though. I got fed up with the mind numbingly tedious, boring work and the bad weather. I've just kept some commercial WC work that pays well.

What I really want to do is become Fire fighter, not for the ego either, because I want to do something positive to help others and what could be better! Need to get fit first though and burn up about 1.5 Stone in weight! Then compete with about 7,000 other applicants for 40 jobs.

I just need some will power! Which as never been the same since being a JW.

A friend of mine say's I need to think positive. He's so right!
I think I need to be free from the Borg first, but with family that are in, well what can I do?

but..... venomous snakes, spiders...... death maybe or major problems to whoever gets on the wrong side of one.. here i sit watching tv.....steve irwin on deadly snakes.. what kind of snake did satan use to talk to adam & eve?.

When our God created (sorry athiests posters, I can not believe in no creator) animals and man was to live forever in Paradise, my idea
of paradise is not to have dangerous animals around.

Don't get me wrong, I am not saying Jehovah, Y H W H, Jesus, should not have created these creatures. I just have difficult time understaning and wondering and thinking! Especially after a glass of whisky...LOL!
