  Need help with 607 date & false prophet scr...

  in about 2 or 3 weeks i'll be stepping down as a ms and leaving the wts for good.

  but before i do so i'm trying to prepare some information in regards to the 607 date and numerous false prophecies (predictions).

  During the Korean War, the American public was introduced to a new idea: Brainwashing. This word was invented to explain the unexpected acts of treason that were committed by a few American soldiers who were captured.   These ideas translated into one of the most interesting persuasion tools ever developed. The most important question was, "How do you get people to hold a belief more strongly?" It was obvious from the war experience that mere education was not sufficient training to strengthen important beliefs. You can lecture people about the joys of capitalism and they can learn the lecture well enough to pass a true-false test on it, but when the real world mounts a serious attack on the information, many learners will crumble.

  How do you get people to hold a belief or attitude more strongly?

  Inoculation theory, that's how.

  The main point of Inoculation Theory is: Attacks make beliefs (and attitudes) stronger. To understand this theory, we need to draw upon a medical analogy

  do we apostates fall into the same trap as jehovahs witnesses when it comes to blinding ourselves to the truth?.

  how often have i confronted jws with overwhelming evidence that the so called signs of the times are simply not being fulfilled in our day only for them to bring up some barely relevant snippet of information, which, to them, shoots my argument down in flames?

  it is incredible how jws can ignore the camel of evidence that contradicts what they believe and then exult over the gnat of evidence that supports their view.

  dear people, i posted my first post on anointed witness has no doubt stating that i have the heavenly hope and was seeking others.

  many of you responded and i read all your replies.

  i am lonely in terms of knowing few other young anointed and being an active witness, so this makes me an oddity among you and in my cong.. mnay also wondered why i was on this website of ex-witness,.

  i had memories come back after an operation at 14...they are lacking detail to say the least, but does that mean i didn't experience it?

  If the accusation is denied, the elders should explain to the accuser that nothing more can be done in a judicial way. And the congregation will continue to view the one accused as an innocent person. The Bible says that there must be two or three witnesses before judicial action can be taken. (2 Corinthians 13:1; 1 Timothy 5:19) Even if more than one person "remembers" abuse by the same individual, the nature of these recalls is just too uncertain to base judicial decisions on them without other supporting evidence. This does not mean that such "memories" are viewed as false (or that they are viewed as true). But Bible principles must be followed in establishing a matter judicially.

  Two or three whitnesses. If others came forward to support the one abused, shouldn't this then be a matter for the authorities?- Paul said "rebuke (or try) them in the presence of all". The only way to do this would be in a Court before a dury.

  Just my thoughts.

  newsflash!! WTBS CD-ROM 2001

  yesterday an announcement was made at my local con.

  and i thought i`d share it.. the watchtower announced that work on the new cd-rom is in progress and we can expect it at the end of this year.. unlike the other versions you can`t get away with win 3.1, you`ll now need at least win95.. available languages: the one already available + tjech and japanese.. some of it`s features:.

  - one window (instead of several).

  What about the free software on front of computer magazine. Some give away almost new software, 1.2a because version 1.2b is in the shops.

  Since most of the WT cdrom contains old publications, shouldn't they give WTCDROM away for the cost of the CD+Packaging?
