  Magic Mountain and Disney Land soon to be off limits to all JW's!

  why isn't it off limits if wizards and magic are what god hates???

  the truth is almost every jw has been to magic mountain or disney land/world.

  we went in large groups when i was young.

  How large is Societies legal department?

  i was just thinking about the wt attack on education and wondered where they would be without it.. does anyone know how large the legal department is at bethel?

  is it larger than the writing department?

  hey everybody im new here.

  currently a pioneer in my early 20's, started straight out of high school, now wanting to go to college and working on getting out of pioneering.

  also a former bethelite, ill make a thread on that soon.. .

  Welcome! I have much of the same experience as you. I looked at "apostate" sights before I went to bethel and served in bethel for years and put my doubts behind me. The way I was treated at bethel when I made some minor youthful indiscretions showed me that this could not be Jehovahs organization and I had to move on with my life. It is a long journey, but we are here to support you.

  You will find that we are a varied group in different stages of our life progress, anywhere from current serving elders to attending meetings but trying to stay under the radar to inactive to completely out of the org. How you procede now is up to you, but take your time and choose your steps carefully.

  Mother drives off with baby on her car roof!

  seems that she was upset her boyfriend had been arrested for a dui a few hours earlier, so she smokes a bowl of pot and then drives off with her baby on the car roof- the baby was unhurt- mom joins her boyfriend in jail.. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=idee4xexzhk.

  a shocking discovery was made just before 1 a.m. -- a baby, strapped in a car seat, was found lying in the middle of a street and the child's parents were no where to be seen.. the 1-month-old boy was found in a car seat near 45th avenue and cholla.

  Yes, driving under the influence of mind altering drugs is stupid and can kill people.

  But that doesn't mean they should automatically be illegal. I see people leave bars drunk all the time and cringe. I have driven my friends home or had friends drive me home when I have had too much. Does this mean alcohol should be illegal? NO! look at all the crime that occured because of prohibition on alcohol in the US in the past. Look at all the crime that occurs because of the prohibition on MJ currently. The problems caused by it being illegal outweigh the problems that would occur if it were legalized.

  A large number of prescription drugs will mess you up way more than a normal sized joint in my experience, and the abuse of the legal prescription drugs causes many many problems.
