But,I wonder about her. Why would she want to marry someone who wouldn't be with her in "paradise"?
Maybe he confided in her that it was all bullshit and he was in it for the praise.
just found out that the australian governong body member known as geoffrey jackson got engaged to a sister about two weeks ago.
it really shocked me at first but then i remembered how other members of the gb have remarried in the past like daniel sidlik.
what made me say "woah" was hearing that the holy bride to be is really young!

i'm doing some research for a new blog article on the governing body.
it's in a question-and-answer or "faq" format, and attempts to give simple but well-founded answers to most questions that people could conceivably ask about the governing body.. one thing i noticed when looking at the history of the governing body is that we seem to be in the middle of a lengthy "dry spell" when it comes to making new appointments.. gerrit losch is currently the longest-serving member having been appointed in 1994. however, his appointment came at the end of a 17 year period in which no appointments were made.
this contrasts notably with the remarkable six-year period between 1971 and 1977 when 15 members were added.. since losch's appointment, 4 members were added in 1999 (herd, lett, pierce and splane) and 2 more recently in 2005 (morris and jackson).. the seven year spell since the last appointments were made has seen the deaths of barber, barr, jaracz, shroeder and sydlik - cutting the number of governing body members almost in half.
Its 2012, time for a woman on board. They can explain it away that Moses had Miriam as a prophetess so its scripturally ok. Plus, when they have evening meetings, she can make sandwiches!

They will have to apply to Bethel to see if they get in. With all the cutbacks, I don't see much need for new sisters at Bethel unless she has special skills.
at the last district convention i went to (2010) i was sitting in my seat during the lunch break.
i was listening to two brothers sitting together chatting in the row in front of me.
they were talking about brother 'so and so'.
Yes I was having dinner with a disfellowshipped brother and he told me he was putting a letter to get reinstated and I asked him why the hell he would do that and all I got was a blank stare. Mind control works people.

watch the right hand side of the screen.. .
i am trying to imbed it but can't make it work.

This is the first video I have posted and it has 22k views! Also, I had disabled comments so I could show some JW's also but now they are enabled. I got a lot of emails from JW's saying I shouldnt have put it up.
Quote: if your a witness why would you post this. Your making witnesses look bad in a way...not everything should end up on the internet.
I'll send em to jwfacts.com
i brought up the conti case with a newly x- jw and they said that the child molestion policy was changed in 90's as far as elders reporting to the authorities.
so my question is what was the policy changed from and what did it change to?
and what is the most current letter that we have a copy of regarding the reporting policy?
LostGeneration that funny in a way. I remember being pulled in the back room right before I was appointed a MS and at first I thought I was in trouble. I would have lost my shit if I got called in the back room and the first words out the mouth were "Brother Puff, have you ever molested a child?" They do things so backwards. I bet they don't even run a free background check on any of them.
for those of you who are interested in how a major uk news channel covers cults, see this politically-flavoured report on mormonism..... http://news.sky.com/story/958170/mormons-reject-cult-label-ahead-of-us-polls.
when you watch the report, the parallels with jehovah's witnesses (even in this brief film) are intriguing, right down to the young clean-cut lad delivering a talk at his local congregation, and the cheesy video promoting the church's past, which evokes memories of the "faith in action" dvd series featuring the young charles taze russell.. i also find it intriguing that the racist history of the mormon church is highlighted by one commentator.
as i explained in a recent article (below), the history of jehovah's witnesses is similarly besmirched by the dark clouds of racism.... http://insidethewatchtower.com/history/a-brief-history-of-racism-in-watchtower-publications/.
I'm listening to an awesome new cd right now so cant watch the video yet, but if Cedars reccommends it, I'm gonna watch it. Thanks for the post.
howdy guys and gals!.
personally, my life has been fantastic.
it's like a massive weight has been lifted off of me, especially when it comes to having to go to the meetings.
Sex drugs and rock'n'roll!! And loving every minute of it. More true friends than ever, better self esteem, and I'm not afraid of some old men telling me how to think.
i was just thinking about how the watchtower often compares the organization's position to that of moses.
challenging moses, in their retelling of the biblical account, equated challenging god's authority, as korah, dathan, and abiram did, to their own peril.
the conclusion we are to gain from this is not to challenge, question, or disagree with the watchtower society's teachings even in our private thoughts.
well put sd. I also like to point out when JW's say that God has always had an earthly organization. Which is not true, he had a chosen nation, and he wiped out any nation that got in their way. (Except for the times when he sold them back into slavery for 50, er I mean 70 years, wait, when did that happen again, I know it ends in a 7) He has never done any such thing for JW's.

Time bandit, dont feel so bad. When I began my fade, all I got was unencouraging text messages from an elder in my hall.
tIme 4 may?
need time NOW!
time?
we are hre 4 u if you need to talk
I literally went 7 months where all the texts from him, once a month were asking for time. the answer was always zero. I finally texted him back and told him that I promised if I got time to turn in, I would not forget and he did not need to keep texting me.
