1009, It is aparent that you have not done your research, otherwise you would know the religion is absolutely guilt not just the perpetrator.
Also, I find it infuriating to have selfish people like you who stick their head in the sand. If it doesn't personally affect you look the other way...you have the odacity to judge others on here. Yuck!!!

Any fallout from the "human apostates" convention talk yet?

i'm just curious as to whether anyone is experiencing any repercussions following the "human apostates" talk on the saturday of the district convention?.
my relatives will be attending soon, which makes me anxious.

Heaven, Agreed but the concern is that they are not just benign and boring. They are attempting to stir up serious hate!

Nothing yet specific to the talk. There are rumors on this board but…
Unbeknownst to me (long story), my husband called my estranged father and the topic of the talk came up. He asked him to pay attention to this hate filled talk and think of us every time they hear the “name calling”. He chuckled…so we’ll see.
They also discussed the July 15, 2013 Watchtower. My father does not buy into them taking the ‘Evil Slave” term away. He can morph the religion into whatever he wants to in order to stay in. This little change is eating at him though, so you never know…
I posted the abbreviated 4 min talk you featured on your jwsurvey site on my FB timeline. Hoping to get attention from my non JW’s. I think people are watching it and are shocked but they do not know what to say. I have 2 friends that left the JW’s that did not do their research and were blown away by the hate speech.
On this second topic of media attention, it really deserves its own thread. I think we should do something on a “well planned” mass level "together" to get attention rather than assign it to Cedars

Quick note before you give me your thoughts. I have none of the "family pictures" he is accusing me of. He is older and is confused by the electronic "scanned" copies I have made. Between my husband and I we had spent 3 weekends scanning 4 large (unorganized) boxes of photos for a suprise wedding anniversary for my parents. We made a DVD with music and gave them a digital picture album/frame that rotates all their pictures. It was very time consuming. Now I am am being accused of taking them.

can you imagine if they called blacks or catholics or god forbid, muslims "mentally diseased" what kind of trouble there would be?

Hate speech for sure! The mentally diseased comment was followed up by we should be treated like we have a "deadly contagious disease"! Sheesh, they have no shame!!!
I wish someone had recorded the San Diego convention. I read somebody's notes that were taken. Other things that stood out were that we are Satan's kitchen workers, and we whip up poisonous meals to take others down.
This speech is wrong towards anyone but when I listened I imagined I was listening as my parents or brothers. How do families tolerate these kind of things being said about there own flesh and blood?! They are gross lies!

BTW-Kudos to all smart apostates who have been putting JW.org in their YouTube video titles and key words. It might really start paying off! One of our talented peeps who does videos should make a different "JW.org French Store" soon so that it comes up when JW's are searching for this LOL! Somebody could really have fun with this. It is not my specialty:(
