Bob Dylan is a great lyricist, but reminds me of Leonard Cohen: writes poetic, beautiful songs, but really should never have been allowed to sing them. Ouch. Almost as tone deaf as Beth Orton.

The Illusion of Superiority
by Coded Logic inafter reading dozens and dozens of posts and hundreds of comments, it seems to me that a great many people on this forum think that since they figured out ttatt, they must therefore be a highly intelligent and incredibly rational individual.
let me take a moment to congratulate everyone.
its a big step to figure this out - i know.. that said, it doesn't make you a genius!

It's spelled embarrassment.
Sorry, couldn't resist. But I do agree that the arrogance we have been instilled with as "God's chosen people" can be difficult to shake. Add to that the human tendency to want to add to one's self esteem by looking for ways in which one is possibly superior to others, and on here we have the world in microcosm.
I am a grammar nazi, but hold my tongue (fingers?) on here because I don't want to seem arrogant or superior, especially as English grammar and spelling is anything but logical... But I judge you all according to your mistakes. Silently.

by NoRegrets ini found this interesting!

Unfortunately the spin will be "evil apostates try twisting our every word, stick only to mother's JW.org teat...."

OMG I'm so happy!!!!
by Julia Orwell inyup, the apostate is happy.
i shouldn't be, right, because my life is empty without "jehovah" and the organisation.. but i just got a job at one of the best theme parks in the world, which is so what i want to do, and it's the first permanent job i've had since i lost my government job in 2012!.
the job pays minimum wage but i don't care because working in tourism and entertainment is what i want to do!

Is It Possible? Are They Retiring To Warwick?
by metatron ini'm not making a bold assertion here, just pursuing an idea.
what would have to happen to prove that the watchtower is probably "packing it up", conceding the field, retiring to their new headquarters in senescent peace?.
the dramatic changes we have observed are mostly motivated by money or legal concerns - but not all, as with cutting back on meetings.. you could reasonably have an old guard that still fanatically hopes for armageddon, any day now, while younger men keep their doubts private.

It would be convenient to have them all in one place, to contain the rivers of effluence coming from them.
Completely incongruous to this thread, but Blondie, you made my day with the correct use of 'fewer' and 'less' ;-)

Great campagne in Portugal (ex-JW)
by TJ Curioso ini like to tell you what we've been doing these past few days here in portugal (ex-jw).
we create a brochure and printing, so we can send to the maximum of congregations in portugal.
some individuals were also covered in this campaign.. the title of the pamphlet is: "when will the kingdom arrive?".

My sister won't watch Bedknobs and Broomsticks (witch) but loves Mary Poppins (magic-practising woman who is never actually named a witch).
She also won't watch Lord of the Rings (wizards and demon-like orcs) but let her daughter both read and watch the Hobbit. From the same writer. Based in the same universe. With the same characters.I mentioned both of these apparent contradictions but the dissonance created a little nuclear explosion, so I desisted.
