I have learned to say ''bless you"!
by Aussie Oz infor those born in or dragged in as little children, normal customs are not imprinted on our minds.. such as the simple saying ''bless you'' when somebody sneezes.
this has frustrated my wife for as long as we have been together!
she felt it very rude that when she would sneeze i would not respond with the customary phrase, i had to explain that it just was not part of my culture, not imprinted on me.

It’s amazing how you don’t even realize that not saying it may seem rude to the person sneezing.
I intend to say it from now on.

By What Authority?
by Orthodox1 inthe jws, catholics, mormons, and a handful of others say they are the "true church" or what jesus originally intended.
i know jws call themselves the "true christians".
by what authority - outside of the bible, since 41,000 denominations use the bible to back up their individual beliefs - can jws make this claim?

I never thought I would say this, but some people are better off in the WT.

They don’t respect this basic human right. If you decide to leave you have to lie to them or be prepared to have family, friends and acquaintances not talking to you anymore.

Rbih, I think you are the only one not getting the point here.

King of the North - Missing in Action
by scotoma inthe watchtower seems to have lost track of one of their favorite endtime players - the king of.
how could they let such an important component of their prophecies vanish.. .
growing up in the 50's and 60's i fully believed the watchtowers scheme for interpreting daniel.. and it was quite believable back then.

You need a lot of talent to come up with this types of interpretations. I always had my doubts about this, same as with the Apocalipse book. Never delved too deep into it.

Rbih, I didn’t burn anyone myself, so don’t need any absolution, thanks.
About the rest of your post, you seem a bit confused and I don’t have the time to disprove each and every one of your wrong conclusions.
Catholics don’t claim everyone has to follow their rules.
Pagans did throw Christians to the lions so they were not so tolerant with them for some reason.
Some other religions, and political groups are also very intolerant with people that don‘t think like they do.

I Believe Catholicism And Its Trappings Are Silly, Strange & Weird!!!
by minimus inmy italian friend loves going to the "feasts" that occur in italy, boston or nyc.
these feasts feature a "saint" with dollar bills pinned around her and they parade the saint in a long procession and chant "viva (whomever)".
they are quite serious about this and are proud to talk about the past generations of observers who appreciated the events.

Talesin, you should ask yourself why the Jews were not given refuge in Canada at the time.
The Vatican helped thousands of them to survive, not because they believed they converted, but because they were human beings.
The fact that the Pope didn’t officially opposed Nazism, doesn’t mean that it supported it. Helping the Jews to escape was an act of subversion.
People that accuse the Pope of supporting Nazism are either not well informed or plainly dishonest.
