You are comparing Catholicism with Muslim Fundamentalism here, and Muslim Fundamentalism can not even be compared with other more moderate forms of Islam, much less so with Christianity.

Fanatics are dangerous, whether they are religious or not. In Afghanistan you can be stoned for adultery, under Communism you could lose your life for just being a Christian.

Rbih, you can be supporting an agenda even if you are unaware of it. The Church doesn’t define itself in opposition to anyone. A big number of atheists define themselves as opposed to the Church. They may go about it in different ways, but their goal is the same, to bring down religion, and the Catholic Church in particular.
It is good to ask oneself, why did the WT always had this fixation with the Catholic Church? See where it leads you.

America is a country, but if it is governed by a morally superior code than that of Christianity it should show. If it is not, then the Christian code is morally superior.

Fanatic atheism is just one of the fronts. The campaign against religion is fought at many levels. By discrediting religion and its significance, by ridiculing and insulting believers, and by promoting a culture contrary to everything religion stands for.
Some cults that control and manipulate people also do their job in discrediting all types of faith.
Once you have convinced everyone that religion is behind all of mankind’s problems, (I still remember that line from my years in the WT), people can be indoctrinated in your particular view of the world.
