  i know a couple of sisters who have been canseled by the elders for wearing a little bit to short skirt.

  i just wonder what serena's elders think when they see pictures of her like this in magazines.

  I read the post and was sadden by the blinders many Witnesses chose to put on. Some even called the people on the documentary actors bent on slurring Jehovah's Organization. I ask you who said that the WTS was Jehovah's chosen Organization ?

  Jehovah is not contained to the four walls of Churches, Kingdom Halls, etc. He is bigger than any Organization. What the Organization is..... is man's interpretation of what God wants. An man is imperfect and corruptable. But again wrap it up, shut it up and don't allow yourself to believe it.. no no it is an actor, or a bitter apostate. Rather than taking a long painful look at the disease ridden body known as the Watchtower Society. Seeing the decayed holes that reek of festering injustice. Witnesses worry about the "organization" being persecuted. Well what about those innocent people who loved Jehovah who were tortured by their own ?

  No no just label them and sweep them under the carpet. They are just bitter apostates, d/a or d/f people. No no don't listen to the man behind the curtain... he is an apostate.

  They are afraid to step through the looking glass and see the other side. For they themselves may come face to face with the monsters , as we have. An they may not have the "power" to "slay" the monster.. because it the monster has the face of a beloved elder, sister, brother, friend or family member. Monsters are real folks.. they are abusers. An the more you ignore the monster in the closet.. the more scarier he/she/ it gets. The Organization gives them power to continue. Monsters live in dark places.. under your bed, in your closet.. in your homes, churches, Kingdom Halls and families... an until we drag them into the light. They will remain.

  For the people in the organization it is easier for them to hide their heads under the covers. While their children, friends and brothers and sisters...wait in dread for the footsteps coming to their rooms, or the screaming foaming visage of a face that is their parent.. looms towards them in anger to beat them for what ever slight they did...continues. An then they wonder why their children run, d/a themselves, PROTECT themselves from the monsters in the night.. well the answer is..it is because THEY failed to.

  The Truth is .. the child grew up into a adult that is no longer afraid to fight back. Why .. you took everything that mattered to them.. what else do they have to LOSE ? they lost everything anyway. The only choice given was to fight back. Regain what they lost.. but still in that there is a price. Shunning, no family (that is still is in the WTS), etc. Will it stop.. don't know, but we can try or go down swinging. Which is more than we had growing up.

  i have never been a a jw.

  my ex-wife is a fanatic newborn jw for the last 5 years.

  her fanatism was the main reason we got divorced.

  Being a Parent can be confusing. I don't know from having a child but being the Child in a most complex situation.

  My parents could not agree on how to raise me.. my father wanted me for a year,then she have a year etc. they could not agree which led to a parent ( I will not say which one) abducting me and taking me across state lines.

  5 years later I was returned and it was not a easy re-assimulation. I learned I had a sister that was born while I was "away". I had a step parent that was not over joyed at my return. Things got progressively worse.

  If you cannot work out these issues with your ex spouse.. then please before things get out of hand. Try mediation... that way each parent's "rights" are worked out. The main thing to remember is your child... who is a individual in her own right. Who should not have to be made to choose, decide who is right or wrong, nor should any parent put down the other to her. As the saying goes you may HATE eachother's guts, but you show only love to your child. It doesn't involve her, what ever was between you and your ex. Otherwise your child may feel like she is at fault for the divorce.

  Believe me, I respected my father more b/c he did not put down my mother. Did not discuss the reasons for the break up or anything. Until I asked and pressed him to find out his side of the story. I was a adult when I asked him. There was a lot of regret, sadness that tinged all this. My mother on the other hand.. she just spewed hate and vile things.

  Do not stop being there for your daughter. She will respect you for it. More so than your wife, if she continues to "trash" you to her.

  An mostly all I can say is hang in there. Parenting is not a exact science you will make mistakes, admit them, say I am "sorry" and move on.

  Child of Rue.. ( as in you RUE the day).

  When life started out/ no one loved you. Abandoned/ you thought you were alone.
  Afraid of life' storms around you / left without a home.Child of Rue~ I loved you/ when no one else would / Saw the shame inside you / Of things that had you bound./ Blinding you to what was to be found./ By your side,I was through it all/ You heard my gentle call./ Searching... through the cold street nights./ You'd journeyed to the true light./Love has released the past..   Persecution - MWUHAHA...

  another day, another rant.

  after reading latte's post on jahh's thread, it seems that the dubs are going full-bore into their good old duck and hedgehog style of crying "persecution!!!!!

  " as soon as it looks like they're being exposed.. dateline, apparently, was persecution.

  I agree, they are going to cry ....

  WE ARE BEING PERSECUTED, MY BROTHERS!"

  The reason is that it is much easier to be affronted and even INSULTED over a situation rather than dealing with it. Makes it much easier to reason it out to be a spawn of Satan thing than actually saying, " Gee we need to deal with this situation and perhaps get the brother/sister to counseling ( and if that doesn't work chemical casteration).

  This is just the tip of the iceburg folks. As someone once said about the Afghan people, " We will have to drag them kicking and screaming into the 21st Century." I am afraid the same is going to have to be with the JW's antiquated view of ignoring it .. it will go away.
