  It is a true kindness to help those who hate you. Much like the Good Samaritan in Jesus teachings. This is true Christianity in action.

  
  The villain is not our parents that have written us off as bird food. The true villain is the watchtower that CONvinced our folks they would never grow old thus never need to plan for old age, and shun their adult children who they would need later in life.
  An older couple in our congregation who all of their children were disfellowshipped had no place to go. The congregation bought them a one way ticket to her worldly sister out west to take care of them. Sad.

  to the person who requested the files and documents on the watchtower doing business with the klu klux klan, i will need to send you that in a file folder.

  it would be easier if i could send everything to your email.. bottom line was, the canadian branch of the watchtower had a radio station in canada named "chuc" in the 1920's.. i am giving jeff and alan credit on this.

  they did a wonderful video about it.

  The timeline makes sense. The KKK was big in Saskatchewan in the 1920’s. Their target were Eastern European immigrants. Bohunks they would call them. I know a few personally that had anglicized their last names to be able to get jobs in the city.

  As far as a Rutherford era radio station selling them air time. I wouldn’t doubt that it is true, Jws are good at whitewashing the truth. I’ve also personally met the guy that ran the radio station. George Naish I think his name is. He was kinda a folk hero in the Saskatoon area. He would visit our congregation from time to time and give talks. I’m not sure if he was in bethel or?

  you clearly read what's written in the bible, but the society is always twisting and bending scriptures to their benefit.

  It’s all about image. You have to make a good appearance of spirituality, be visible in the ministry to be spiritually strong. You can still be a total asshole but as long as you are checking the correct boxes you can be part of the club.

  i recently had the sad opportunity to attend 2 jw funerals.

  the first was a few months ago and the second today.

  the first was my grandfather's and the second of an old friend back from my jw days.

  It’s a jw infomercial. I was at one where the deceased had lots of inactive jw relatives. The a hole that was giving the funeral talk used the opportunity to try and guilt them to start attending again.

  yes, many here have lost many years of life due to being infected by this cult like religion.

  for many it is very hard to let go of that life and those wasted years.. of course people need time to heal and this web site is a great place to do that, swap war stories and commiserate.. i was in for over 50 years.

  so of course it will be with me for the rest of my life.

  It’s hard to move on from any kind of abusive relationship. I was a jw victim just like most who have joined this forum. The only way I was able to come to terms with it was to focus on the positives and the lessons I learned from being a jw. The fact that I was finally able to wake up from the nightmare is a great accomplishment that needs to be celebrated.

  I think leaving any abusive relationship is a grieving process. We had so much invested but lost so much. A person has to come to terms or it will eat them up inside and out.

  thankfully my best friend who got this terrible malady is doing well after being in the hospital for more than two months!

  i see some people who are still petrified over this virus.

  I’m with Stan livedeath on this one. I think my family had it last year. I know lots of people in my circle who had the symptoms in November 2019. What the mainstream media tells us doesn’t make sense.

  I think the reaction of government is a control thing. Never let a good crisis go to waste.
