  The letter states that vaccinated publishers that don’t feel comfortable attending can stay on zoom meetings.

  Children not allowed as they aren’t allowed vaccines yet.

  Must wear a mask at all times.

  Must supply information for contact tracing at each meeting(info to be held for one month)

  Temperature checks and covid questions asked at each meeting.

  Letter also mention$ to empty the contribution boxe$ after each meeting. That is very important.

  i just heard this story from one of my relatives.

  i'm leaving a lot of things out.. a jw couple had three kids and raised them in the religion.

  the oldest one got disfellowshipped at 18 years of age because he committed fornication with a jw girl.

  There are a lot of failed marriages in “the truth”. Jw parents are sometimes the problem. They interfere too much and put extreme pressure on the children to be someone in the organization.

  My siblings that left “the truth” seem to have been more successful family lives than the jws.

  Return to Kingdom Hall Meetings - Letter to Elder Bodies?

  a couple of threads over on reddit that there is a letter to elders on restarting meetings.

  i find this hard to believe and have not seen anything on this from our trusty sources on this site.

  can anyone confirm?.

  There are just a lot of people that are still too scared to attend a large gathering like that. Then there are those that will use it as an excuse. Zoom in my pyjamas sounds nice for the assembly

  All of them because Holy Spirit doesn’t exist.

  One that stands out is a trouble shooter elder that was in my parents congregation. I heard about it from my elder uncle, now deceased.

  This elder was the classic come clean up your congregation kind of guy and encourage pioneering etc. Both him and wife were regular pioneers and one or two kids in beth hell.

  This guy was a snake. He was ripping off the older brothers and sisters in the hall and a real condescending a hole in the congregation. So he decides to move to another congregation once he had fleeced all he could. The other elders wouldn’t give him a recommendation letter as there were unresolved issues(fraud).

  This elder calls up a favor from his circuit overseer buddy and circuit overseer pressures the elders to write the recommendation letter.

  Fast forward about 6 months this fraud elder ends up getting caught by his wife in the sack with an unmarried pioneer sister.

  That’s why they talk about Jehovah more than Jesus. Jesus actually fed the poor. Jehovah just killed anyone that pissed him off. Kinda like disfellowshipping, except you’re dead.

  What Did You Think Of The Songs Sung At The Kingdom Hall?

  when i was younger we had song books and i recall that some of the songs were pretty catchy.

  then they revised it took some of those songs out, and added more.

  i have to admit some songs were pretty good.

  They definitely ruined the songs that we had as kids in the 60’s.

  The problem with the watchtower in everything they do is how they define qualifications. An accomplished musician who is a low hour publisher would never be able to write a song for the organization. A bethel elder’s tone deaf wife who can’t carry a tune even if the bucket was provided for her would be their choice to write songs. This goes on and on. That’s why the organization is falling down around them and they can’t even see it.

  I feel for all of the people in poorer countries. A lot of the financial problems people face are because of corrupt government.
  In wealthier nations the leadership in the jw religion seems to want to keep its members poor. If you are striving to get ahead financially but miss meetings, field service or heaven forbid get a university degree you will be labeled spiritually weak.
  The way the jw spiritual stratification system is set up costs a lot of time and money for the members that mentally accept it. To make “spiritual progress” in the organization one has to miss out on many opportunities in life. To pioneer, be an elder, attend international conventions, serve where the need is great all require sacrifices that this cowboy just isn’t willing to make. Ironically it was a working for a “worldly” corporation that woke me up to how organizations use up people.
