COSSACKS PROTEST AGAINST ACTIVITIES OF JEHOVAH'S WITNESSES

STAVROPOL, June 21 (RIA Novosti's Valery Oliyanchuk) - The ataman council of the Georgiyevsk department of the Tersky Cossack Troops in the Stavropol territory (Russia's south) has sent an open letter to the local and territorial authorities condemning the activities of Jehovah's Witnesses.

First of all, the Cossacks and Orthodox clergymen are concerned about the political activities of the sect. In particular, the sect prohibits its members to serve in the army, join other organizations, vote in elections, respect the national flag and anthem, and celebrate birthdays and Christian holidays.

The main purpose of Jehovah's Witnesses is to collect money and enlist new members.

"On March 26, 2004 Moscow's Golovinsky Court satisfied the petition of the prosecutor's office of Moscow's northern district and decided to liquidate the community of Jehovah's Witnesses in accordance with Article 14 of the law on freedom of conscience as its activities are aimed at religious discord, breaking families, etc." the open letter reads. It contains the request of Cossacks and Orthodox clergymen to thoroughly analyze the activities of Jehovah's Witnesses in the Stavropol territory, first of all, the Georgiyevsk district, and to take relevant measures.

The suit against Jehovah's Witnesses was initiated in September 1998. Having checked the community, the prosecutor's office of Moscow's northern district came to the conclusion that its activities are aimed at religious discord, breaking families, etc. Moreover, Jehovah's witnesses persuaded gravely ill people to give up medical aid for religious reasons.

The prosecutor's office accused Jehovah's Witnesses of extremist activities.

Fear of Flying because of heights

mt sister recently asked me to go on a cruise but to get to the ship ( not sure which one yet ) we have to take a plane to get there.

no i am not really scared of the plane crashing ( well sorta ) but i have a fear of heights, who has this fear ?

i have never flown and the thought is making me sick.

Can we say anything good about the WTS?

i'm trying to develop a more positive attitude, so i'm trying to look for the good in everything, even the wts.

i think jws are good for the economy because:.

1. they spend money in tim hortons which provides employment for people and helps boost the economy.

WTS taught us to speak in public which makes it all the more easier to speak to as many as possible exposing their false teachings.

They also taught us not to be afraid to be different or stand up for what we believe in which makes it easier to leave them when we found out the real truth.

Business Dealing Between JW's & Ex-JW's

i don?t know if anyone else recalls this or not, but i remember reading articles in the wt publications about having business dealings with ex-jws and how witnesses should do everything possible to avoid this.

they even stated that if your business partner becomes df?d, you should do everything possible to get out the business (i.e.

buy him out or letting him buy you out).

I'm not DF or DA'd and when I stopped attending meetings my JW houskeeper and my JW employes quit leaving my family in a major financial bind.

I never knew that it was the Bible that said that you can't have blood transfusions or that the Bible says that you can have blood fractions.

I didn't know the Bible said that you can't vote and then later says you can and then says you can't again.

I didn't know the Bible says that you can't have vasectomys then you can and then you cant.

I never knew that the Bible said that heart transplants were canibalism and you can't have one.It also says that you can have heart transplants.

I didn't know that the Bible said that "The Generation" is the generation of 1914 or that The Generation is not the generation of 1914, its just a generation of wicked people.

I never knew it was the Bible that said that a woman must scream when raped or she will be disfellowshipped or that it was the Bible that says she doesn't have to scream and then later says that she does have to scream.

I could go on and on but they can't blame their lame ass teachings,rules and new light on the Bible.

THE WATCHTOWER said these things.

Wake up JWs. Your being F*%#ed with and made fools of by men. God has nothing to do with this contradictory, disorganized,mess!

have you tried the new low-carb, low-sugar, low-cal coke?

i personally like it but i'm not an avid coke drinker.

i personally don't see a diff.

Yes I tried it today and thought it was pretty good. It seems too sweet to be only half the calories though. My kids hate Diet Coke and as a mother I would rather buy this instead of the "Real Thing" when I can. I wish resturants would carry it because thats where my kids get most of their cokes.

I have to come out of my little lurking cave to ask you to reconsider. Your posts have far reaching effects that you are not even aware of. There are many here who enjoy your posts. There are also many people out there who don't post but read this board on a daily basis.I know you know this.

I get frustrated like you at times about some of the subjects here but I realize that there is a need for fellowship as well as information .

We are humans that need interaction with others like us so the serious stuff will naturally be mixed in with the fluff. Don't think that just because much of the info that you find important is plastered all over the internet that theres no need for it here.This is still one of the main places people go for info.Get frustrated and rant but don't give up.You do make a difference.
