My wife just told me to move out...
by nolongerconfused inbecause of "religious" differences, she now wants me to move out and "separate"...i said what biblical grounds does she have for her request?.
she couldnt respond...she said she'd rather be beaten up by me than have an "apostate" in the house.... this org definitely encourages conditional love.... i don't know what to do...by the way, we dont have children.

She is scared.
Don't talk about TTATT to her anymore. Youve already told her how you feel. Tell her you were wrong to push it on her. Tell her you love her with a card, nothing else.
Also, do not move out unless you feel there is psysical danger in the situation. Let her be the one to move out.
You could even drop a line to the BOE and state that yes, youve had some probs with the ORG, but you are not a spiritual threat to your wife.

Blondie's Comments You Will Not Hear at the 02-10-2013 WT Study (TRUSTED STEWARDS)
by blondie inyour relationship with god will then be like that of those christians to whom paul wrote: you do not belong to yourselves, for you were bought with a price.
for example, the comments jesus made about one.
master, jesus christ.1 cor.

Blondie,
Is there any way you could format this in a printer friendly version? I would love for it to only be a couple pages and be able to take it with me to the KH. Thanks

by turtleturtle ini would like to try and get the wts reasons for doing some shady things:.
what do you think the wt would say regarding why:.
they don't provide tax filings for all the corporations associated with jws.. they do not inform jws regarding how much money is paid out for lawsuits.. they want to keep the boe book and letters secret.. .

What do you think the WT would say regarding why:
They don't provide tax filings for all the corporations associated with JWs.

They want to keep the BOE book and letters secret.
I was reading about pastors "fleecing their flocks" this morning and I'll tell ya...

Could The WT Be A U.N./NATO/NWO Collaborator?
by turtleturtle intwo reasons i am getting suspicious.. 1) the many articles hyping about global warming.
in my opinion, the wt should not have covered this.. 2) the announcement i clearly remember (perhaps there were two), where an elder read a letter about "disaster relief" and stated that jws should follow the direction of government official in times of crisis.. http://www.ksla.com/global/story.asp?s=6937987.
i could see that direction turning south real fast.

I could see that direction turning south real fast. "Give up any guns you have, take this 'vaccination'. Can anyone say "purple triangle all over again".
3) The anti-gun rhetoric in the WT. It is one thing if a JW is planning to join a militia. But, its another thing buying a firearm to protect your family. Criminals are horrible these days. They won't just take your goods. They will rape your wife and daughters!

by turtleturtle ina thought regarding a recent public talk i heard:.
.
if christians are truly supposed to be odedient & faithful in all things (to the organization), because jah has always used an organization, then shouldn't the jews around jesus days have done the same thing towards the sanhedrin/priests (even though they were corrupt)?.

Gopher:
Thanks for the reply!
You said:
The common folk (amha'arets) lived in great fear of being put out of the temple by the Pharisees.
Can you provide a WT or other historical reference showing this? Would be great to have on hand! Thanks again!

The Pharisees were very zealous for the Law of Moses, but they also considered themselves the guardians of the oral traditions that scholars developed over generations. The oral traditions interpreted the Law of Moses. For example, the Law said to keep the Sabbath. They were not to work on God’s holy day. Yet, what was work and what was not? The oral traditions filled in the details that Moses left out. For instance, how far could a person walk on the Sabbath without it being work? The interpreters decided that the distance was 2000 cubits which is about 2/3 of a mile. This was known as a Sabbath’s day journey. Where did they get that number? When the Hebrews carried the Ark of the Covenant in the wilderness, God commanded them to walk 2000 cubits behind the ark. They decided that was God’s way of telling them how far one could walk on the Sabbath.

Wow! The GB are trying to fill the same role the Pharisees did. They fill in the rest (e.g. blood components are wrong, but hemoglobin is acceptable).

Oh and can't forget the chief priests (John 19:15-16)
