What is their objective?
by dmouse inask a jw if they go around trying to convert people to their religion and they will invariably say something like no, we are not trying to convert people to our religion we simply want to spread the good news.
or we are just bringing comfort to people who are crying out at the distress in the world.. why do they want to deny the fact that their main objective is to get new converts?.
well, they can deny it no longer.

I don’t know if this will help. But it’s worth a try.
I feel I must strike while the iron is hot, so to speak. Most of you have seen what kind of mom I’m dealing with here.
I have also sent a version of this to my sister and 20 or more former witness friends. I can’t help but feel like I’m burning bridges. I’m not Df or Da but This may change my status, if so I’ll feel it was for a good cause.I don’t mind any one using my letter or a version of it. Witnesses aren’t used for thinking for themselves, so I feel we must keep this simple for most of them.

I just want you to know that I love you very much and always will.
I know that world events are causing you to fear for us and that’s why you say some of the things you do. It’s okay because I know you love us too.
I just wish you didn’t suffer with so much anxiety.I thought you would find this interesting.
I went to the UN’s official website and found out some information I didn’t know before.
The UN has governmental members as we are already aware of, but I found out that they also have non-governmental organizations as well. They are called NGOs and are associated with the DPI or (Department of Information) section of the UN.
In order to become a member an organization has to show proof of their non -profit status, fill out a lengthy application, promise to support the UN and its goals and promote its Charter. They must also promote the UN’s DPI information in their literature.
I was not surprised as I scanned down through their alphabetical listing of members to see just about every religion and church you could think of listed. Catholics, Jews, Muslims and on and on. I was feeling very smug, thinking about all these religions “prostituting” themselves with the “Scarlet Colored Wild Beast “ That feeling didn’t last because when I got down to the W’s guess who I saw listed right along with the rest of them. Yes, the Watchtower Bible and Tract Society!!!!!!
If you call the UN you will be told that the Society has been members since 1991.
We all know what happens to a witness who joins any governmental organization. You are automatically disassociated! Their hypocrisy and corruption knows no bounds!
This info has caused such uproar that the UN and WT society is being swamped with phone calls faxes and emails. Some have already disassociated themselves; some are just in shock not knowing what to do!
The UN was sent copies of some of the negative things the organization has put in its literature about them. The UN is now having a special meeting to review their membership.
The Watchtower society has been riding the back of the wild Beast for 10 years now. They never counted on the Internet exposing their affair!
It all makes sense to me now. Before, I couldn’t figure out why the society had changed their tune even saying nice things about the UN in the magazines over the last few years.
I know you don’t want to hear this and probably don’t believe me so check it out for yourself. I won’t say anymore because I think this is more than enough to digest for now.
I am not happy about this but I love you and you deserve the truth about the “Truth”.

I share your concern and hope everyone sees the importance of this.
There's NO need to swamp the UN with calls and e-mails.
I think most of us are satisfied with the info we already have and know more is forthcoming.I do have a question for you,how have you gotten Jw's to listen to this info?
I'm interested in hearing how anyone handles this.Please share people.Also, how do we get this info out to the "internet phobic" witnesses?

it would seem to me, and you can probibly bet, when something like this comes to the attention of the elders; that all of thier children are warned to stay clear of "publisher alleged child abuser"!

i thought id share parts of it with you and see what yall think.
i will delete names and add my own words in parenthesis to describe whom shes talking about.. after a few lines of small talk she says this..........i do want to tell you, since (you and your husband) have rejected the truth, i am so glad (your son) is not old enough to join or be drafted into the military.
