Im not going to lie, I saw some witnesses today out in the ministry and one of the women had a pair of black business slacks, black shades on, nice heels and a sport coat.

A small bag that wrapped around her shoulder and she was holding the bible behind her back resting it on her backside. I looked at them from my car window and smiled. She smiled back and so did her partner. I then realized this is going to lead to alot of sisters attracting men they otherwise would not.

I dont think they thought this through

Will New Rules Bring JWs Together or Pull Them Apart?

there's been a lot of discussion about the changes in the org.

you might think all this would shake things up, especially for the older or super dedicated jws.

but remember when gb decided all the khs and the bank accounts needed to be transferred/managed from the top?

Today at 9 in the morning I was driving down a major artery in Fayetteville NC. People here are very religious and traditional.

I come to a stop light and I see the most humorous scenario. On the right side of the street I see 3 brothers between 25 to 55 ish. The younger brothers are wearing cargo khakis with open collar shorts. The older black brother in a full suit. On the other side of the street 2 sisters. Both about 40 something years old. The white sister has on some nice black slacks fitting snug and some heels. Looking like she was on her way to a breakfast meeting.

The black sister had the long skirt, service shoes and a knit cap. It looked so odd. Like there was no reason for the two of them to be next to each other.

I can imagine there will be some that want to hold on to the old ways.

there is a new approach to ministry where the direction is to just talk to people and listen to what they want to talk about.

the new school for the midweek meeting is completely different and is all about the new approach .

even before the no reporting changes field service dropped right off.

on february 22, 2023, anthony morris iii was officially removed from the governing body of jehovah's witnesses.

a few months later it was revealed that the watchtower bought him a house in lumberton, north carolina.. however, and correct me if i am wrong, since leaving the gb nobody has reported seeing tony attending jw meetings or participating in field service.

in fact nobody has reported seeing him anywhere, not even at a local liquor store.

It seems strange but there is only one KH in Lumberton. There is no one with that name on anything that is on the message board. So either he is going to another hall which would be a pretty good distance away, or ...

I just can’t seem to wrap my head around how easy it is for people who are ex jws to make fun of people in a poor rural area as some are doing.

I am from the county next to Robeson, and I am familiar with the area he is currently living in. I am willing to bet that the vast majority of people insulting the area do not have the funds to live there.

That community is the edge of the city and is all new construction. Has excellent medical facilities and is attracting a lot of northerners with money. His community has homes that are pushing 750k.

I have to go out that way later to pick up parts for a thresher from a shop out there and I’ll probably take some pics of the area.

Wow, I haven't logged in for a while, but saw this thread and had to. I live a county over from here but I often go right past this community to by farm supplies and to get to my kubota dealer.

The area he lives in is very nice actually. His subdivision is the newest part of a very nice community. He is also less than a mile from a large medical center that specializes in cancer, sleep research, hospice and women's health. Large shopping central and a swimming and racquetball club.

If you drive 1 block, the homes are 300 to 4500+ sq ft and cost about 400k-650k which in southeast nc is pretty pricey. The community is nice and the area isn't what people are thinking lol

I am literally minutes from Lumberton... this sickens me
