YMCA membership what is the current belief?
by Whynot ini know that having a y membership was a huge no, no for jws.
there hasn't been any information on this subject in decades.

About 6 years ago an 77 year old ministerial servant was told he needed to engage in physical activity not long after he had some form of aortic surgery.
He and his wife were on SS and could not pay for a gym membership so he started going to the local Y.
When a pioneer found out she reported it to the elders and we sought direction from the c.o...... lol.... direction.
He said we were to instruct him to find alternate means to get exercise or he would be removed from his MS post.
He conceded and stopped going and did not have an alternative. 7 months later he died....
Coincidence? Maybe or maybe not

saying that it doesn't give a good witness or would stumble others.. is this a new "unwritten directive?.

I wonder how this particular watch tower is going over it Bethel I remember back in the day at the period I was there there was a building on Henry street called the icebox because every time there's garbage picked up they would be literally thousands of beer cans and liquor bottles in the trash

My Dissociation letter
by TJ Curioso inhi to everyone!i was summoned to the judicial committee and went.
it was a respectful conversation from one side to the other.
in the end i handed the dissociation letter in hand and a binding to each of the elders, with an article i wrote on the subject, "are jehovah's witnesses a destructive sect?

"I think "to sin" must be by excess and not by restraint. " --- GREAT QUOTE!
Times are changing in JW land and many people are doubting due to what is going on in the news and the time they spend on the internet outside of porn sites... lol
When I left I forwarded my letter to facebook friends and a number of people responded in a positive fashion. A few have mentioned the positive way it impacted them. Your letter was far more in-depth than mine so I am sure it can do the same and much better. IF there is a 1 percent chance that your words will plant a seed it is WORTH it.
I read 4 DA letters as an elder and each time they were discussed by other members of our body. You never know when your words can impact someone else!!!

moisturize to keep it easy to groom. I would suggest going to a GOOD barber and letting them give you your first trim so that it is a style that suits your face instead of just a huge doormat

TJ CURIOSO excellent letter! I also wrote a letter laying out why I left and 3 months later another elder who was on the body with me (who now has left, and told me how the points I made in my letter were the motivating factors in him finding TTATT) has left and is a good friend of mine.
Desirous of Change holds a view that seems to be held by a number of people who are scared to just leave in a stand up fashion.
Kudos to you my friend, KUDOS

by fulltimestudent inif you have the time and the means to visit israel right now, you can see something that few modern people have seen.. at the israel museum in jerusalem, a very special document will be on display.
the museum's website heading describes it as:.

Bible God was not capable of preserving a master copy? My 13 year old daughter has the presence of mind to backup her copies of mp3s and Photoshop doodles but booboo in the sky forgets to enable the autosave feature for the book that is suppose to bring the world salvation.

Sad experience, but when I was there I worked in the recycling department in the office complex. Every single meal there would be at least 10 to 15 of those 50 GALLON CANS of untouched and unused prepared food that would be thrown straight in the trash.
Funny enough a bunch of people would come down after the meals and take huge portion s of cinnamon buns and other items that were tasty because they didn't want to appear glu think is by taking it in front of everyone else...

Why this obsession over every aspect of this ridiculous desert dweller iron age religion. A desert god that ordered the murder of men women children and animals so his best buddies could have a place to live.
To this day people walk on eggshells so as not to offend these people when their own god was the most racist/prejudice homicidal maniac of all time... that Is if you want to believe that he existed
